Are you looking for an internship where your ideas are valued and you're not just there to observe? Beyond unique project work, Equifax interns become part of a purpose-driven community from day one. If you’re looking to join a company that supports your development and allows you to make a real difference, look no further.

Our summer internships, over the course of 12 weeks, provide immense value. This early career program offers engaging team-building events, speaker series with leaders, projects that contribute to the business, and more.

Through weekly virtual coffee chats, interns from Atlanta, St. Louis, and Boise came together to share about the impactful work they’re doing and their overall experience. Continue reading to learn more about the challenging projects they tackled and the strong, lasting connections they built along the way.

Making a Real Impact

We heard from interns across various functions including Finance, Technology, Data and Analytics, and Security for further insight into their work.

Jenifer Nguyen, who was a Data & Analytics intern, did crucial work on our Compliance Guardrails Validation project. By asking thought-provoking questions about how trended data is measured, she ensured our credit risk models treat consumers fairly and don't penalize positive financial behaviors. She also grew her technical skills by translating Python code to Google BigQuery to accelerate analysis on massive credit risk datasets by as much as 80% faster.

Technology intern, Harshavardhan Jayakumar, assisted in bridging the gap between infrastructure and finance. He translated raw CPU and memory usage data from our Kubernetes clusters into tangible costs, uncovering key opportunities for savings and demonstrating the value of AI-powered resource management.

Nicole Frausto was immersed in learning EssBase for her project, rapidly getting up to speed with her team’s operations. She also focused on pulling extensive data to create critical P&Ls for the commercial team during her time as a Finance intern.

Abigail Jansky, a Finance intern in St. Louis, was a huge asset in forecasting and predicting numbers for upcoming months. She gained valuable insights by sitting in on key meetings and learning from her team and other departments.

As a prior Security intern, Andrew Burgess, strengthened our defenses with his work on fraud security automation. His efforts in Google Suite helped streamline and harden our internal security processes, showcasing a proactive approach to risk management.

Aryan Chokshi, Site Reliability Engineer intern, delivered on multiple fronts. He completed a project to decrypt batch processing workflows, building a custom filtering plugin to empower our quality engineering teams with faster debugging. He also tackled browser automation to streamline the credit card application process.

These are just a few examples of the type of project work the interns were involved in.

Watch as Sansh Kumar, Zoe Pezold, and Drew Cromer share what it’s like being an intern and rotational associate at Equifax.

Community and Connection

In addition to their project work, the interns also engaged in community service and group-building activities.

A significant way the cohort contributed was by organizing a career closet donation drive. They gathered professional clothing from colleagues to be donated to target schools.

Interns are welcome to join any of the numerous employee networks and communities based on their interests and passions. These employee-led groups offer opportunities to network, develop leadership skills, learn about different cultures, and much more.

Recently, the Atlanta interns put their collective problem-solving skills to the test at Mastermind Escape Rooms. “The puzzles were challenging, but working together as a team to crack the codes led to some great laughs and a real sense of community,” Harshavardhan shared.

In St. Louis, the cohort competed on the pickleball court with fellow interns and RDP (Rotational Development Program) members. This was described as “a perfect way to experience the lively spirit there.”

Outside of the scheduled programming, Aryan Chokshi, Siddharth Dhanasekar and Harshavardhan Jayakumar, organized a company ping pong tournament. It gave colleagues a chance to unwind, connect, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Continuing Your Journey at Equifax

Before reaching the end of the 12-week program, interns prepared readouts to senior leadership that highlighted their accomplishments. These readouts not only gave further insight into their experience; they provided them the ability to reflect on their progress and how they’ve grown.

But it doesn’t have to end there. Many interns continue their journey with us after the program ends. This includes being considered for the Rotational Development Program.
