The Data Intelligence team is looking for a motivated Data Engineer (Entry Level) with a strong analytical focus. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or junior professional who enjoys technology and has a genuine interest in both data development and dashboard reporting. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and team leaders, you will help bridge the gap between data engineering and business intelligence, assisting in transforming information into actionable strategic insights.
What you’ll do
- Design & Maintain Reporting: Design, develop, and migrate interactive dashboards (using BI tools like Tableau or Looker) to enable real-time data visualization. Empower department leaders with actionable KPIs and operational metrics to drive informed decision-making.
- Stakeholder & Engineering Collaboration: Partner directly with other data engineers and operations teams to deeply understand their requirements, streamline cross-functional collaboration, and deliver targeted data analysis.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Participate in dataset analysis, data interpretation, and trend identification to directly support strategic and daily business decisions.
- Automation & Process Optimization: Build and automate data reporting models to eliminate bottlenecks, reduce manual processing time, and optimize resource costs. Streamline the creation of recurring metrics to improve execution efficiency.
What experience you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- 0 to 2 years of practical experience (including internships or academic projects) in data analysis, data engineering, or a related role.
- 0 to 1 years of practical experience or academic experience of SQL and familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift).
- 0 to 1 years of practical experience of Python data manipulation libraries, specifically Pandas and NumPy.
- 0 to 1 years of practical experience or academic experience with data visualization tools (Looker as a primary priority, Tableau, or Power BI).
- 0 to 1 years of practical experience or academic experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) concepts.
- 0 to 1 years of practical experience or academic experience with Git for version control.
- Minimum English proficiency level of B2 or B2+.
What could set you apart
- Demonstrates basic Git usage for version control.
- Strong communication skills with an eagerness to learn data storytelling.
- Familiarity or academic experience with data modeling techniques and Machine Learning (ML) concepts using Python or SQL.
- Introductory experience developing or implementing ML models (e.g., using BigQuery ML, Vertex AI).
- Cloud certifications (GCP, AWS) or Business Intelligence Certifications (Tableau Desktop Specialist, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, etc.).
