VP of Enterprise Data Strategy

The Senior Director, Data Strategy and Enablement will report to the Global Chief Data Officer and partner with global teams through our center of excellence structure.

We believe great things happen when teams connect. Our schedule is built around 4 days of high-impact, in-office collaboration (Monday–Thursday) , paired with Friday Flexibility to wrap up your week remotely.

This role reports to our office Alpharetta, GA office.

This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.

This is a direct-hire role and is not open to C2C or vendors.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the data needs inherent in the business strategies of our global businesses: what data we have, what data we need, how we need to manage our data to maximize its value and reliability over time, and how we can (and cannot) use it to generate value and competitive advantage.
• Build and maintain an enterprise data map/catalog spanning internal, external, public, partner, and consent-based data — the standing reference for what data assets exist, where they live, and who owns them.
• Work with global business units to develop a cohesive enterprise data strategy from the federated strategies of our global businesses, coupled with enterprise-level objectives such as leveraging our cloud-native data fabric, expanding our differentiated data assets, and accelerating incorporation of AI/ML into our products.
• Help business units develop long-term strategic plays for data, particularly opportunities for re-use across business units and domains.
• Drive our global strategy for data exchanges, developing roadmaps for data exchanges and building out best practices for data exchange management.
• Own the enterprise data monetization strategy — identifying, prioritizing, and helping business units commercialize data assets — and define the metrics and ROI framework used to measure the value and effectiveness of our data assets over time.
• Lead evaluation of third-party data partnerships and licensing opportunities (independent of M&A), assessing fit, quality, and value of external data assets against our strategy.
• Engage in the evaluation and integration of data from enterprise M&A we pursue to strengthen our company and drive future growth.
• Drive ongoing planning and execution of the data strategy, including valuation of our data and governance oversight of global strategic data acquisitions and partnerships.
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to ensure our data strategy reflects responsible and ethical data use, including how we govern the data feeding our AI/ML models, so that our growth in data and AI keeps pace with our regulatory and reputational obligations.
• Build and lead data enablement programs — data literacy training, a data community of practice, and self-service access to data products — so business units can act on data themselves rather than depending on central teams for every request.
• Evangelize the enterprise data strategy and embed it in our culture — educating and helping all team members and stakeholders see how our data matters, how our businesses benefit from it, and how it helps consumers and businesses be their financial best.
• Partner with business units, global innovation, and technology to build shared capabilities to support business unit data functions.
• Report on data strategy progress and value delivered to the Global CDO and executive leadership through a regular scorecard or set of OKRs.

​ What experience you need

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline required; Master's degree preferred
• 15+ years of direct business experience in strategic planning, product management and/or business strategy, preferably in financial services or other data / digital business model
• 10+ years experience leading development/improvement and implementation of business strategy, operating models, and business capabilities (people, process, and IT) for data and analytics in large organizations
• A genuine curiosity about data and its potential — this role is as much about inspiring others to see what's possible with data as it is about the strategy itself. 
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams across levels and globally (will possess excellent presentation skills (both verbal and written)
• Experience with Agile, Lean, design thinking, and other methods of leading change and driving execution

What could set you apart

• Demonstrated success helping companies transform the way they use data, including building data literacy or data enablement programs from the ground up.
• Experience building or running a data monetization or data-as-a-product strategy, with a track record of measuring and communicating data ROI to executive leadership.
• Multiple successes leading strategic initiatives, including organizing teams for execution.
• Experience with a management consulting firm.
• Experience evaluating and negotiating third-party data partnerships and licensing agreements.
• Familiarity with data privacy and AI governance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, responsible AI principles) as they apply to enterprise data strategy.
• Experience with SQL and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, BigQuery, etc.), data management and/or cloud data management, product and work management tools (Aha!, Jira, ServiceNow), and data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, etc.).
• Cloud certification and strong experience with cloud and on-prem technologies, structured and unstructured data, and streaming and at-rest data.
