As a Credentialing / Recredentialing Analyst, you will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for conducting end-to-end security due diligence and regulatory compliance reviews for prospective and existing enterprise clients seeking access to sensitive consumer data. Operating out of our Costa Rica Shared Services center, you will evaluate high-risk online applications, verify permissible purposes under US data privacy regulations, analyze third-party virtual site inspections, and make complex credentialing decisions. Additionally, you will partner with Sales, Audit, and Security teams to resolve credentialing escalations.
What You’ll Do

Complex Risk Assessment & Decisioning: Review and evaluate complex client credentialing and recredentialing applications, corporate verification documents, and permissible purpose declarations to grant or deny data access in alignment with US regulatory and security guidelines.

Security & Vendor Due Diligence: Review Virtual Onsite Inspections, liaise with third-party physical security vendors, and complete comprehensive background verifications (corporate good standing, business identity, user authorization) to ensure data location safety.

RFP & Security Questionnaire Support: Provide expert security consulting, review detailed security questionnaires, and supply compliance documentation to support prospective and existing client onboarding.

Escalation & Exception Handling: Serve as the primary escalation point for high-complexity, high-risk, or non-standard credentialing cases, leveraging critical thinking to resolve ambiguous client scenarios.

Quality Auditing & Mentorship: Conduct quality assurance checks on completed credentialing / recredentialing files, assist with audit preparation, Client & Stakeholder Communication: Deliver high-touch, customer-centric, consultative communication via phone and email to US sales reps, compliance managers, and client executives requiring credentialing guidance or missing documentation.
What experience you need to be eligible:

2 to 5+ years of experience in compliance, fraud investigation, risk management, business vetting, or background credentialing within a multinational Shared Service Center (SSC) or BPO.

High School diploma completed.

Fluent B2 English proficiency (both written and verbal).

Proven capability to analyze complex business records, spot red flags, synthesize multi-source data, and make independent, defensible compliance decisions.

Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office (Excel), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and web-based business research/verification tools (e.g., corporate registries, public records databases).

Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work standard US business hours (EST/CST) and align with US corporate holidays.
What Could Set You Apart:

University degree in Business Administration, compliance, risk management, audit, or a related field.

Prior experience with US consumer reporting regulations (e.g., FCRA, GLBA, Driver Privacy Protection Act) or data privacy compliance.

Experience in corporate due diligence, Know Your Customer (KYC), Know Your Business (KYB), or anti-money laundering (AML) workflows.

Track record of contributing to process improvements, SOP documentation, or training teams.

Industry certifications in compliance, fraud, or risk management (e.g., CFE, CAMS).
