Equifax is seeking a Data Scientist to join our world-class Entity Resolution/Keying & Linking team within Global Data & Analytics. As a Data Scientist - Entity Resolution, you will have the opportunity to manipulate large data sets, integrate diverse data sources, data types and data structures into solutions under management guidance. You develop analytical approaches to meet business requirements and explore integrating AI methodologies within our Entity Resolution System, which involves translating requests into use cases, test cases, preparation of training data sets and iterative algorithm development.


In this role you will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge AI technologies at Equifax, and conduct POCs to remain on the forefront of the technological advancements across the industry. 

 You will combine technical execution with creative problem-solving to build reliable data prototypes and uncover patterns within complex data. If you have a solid foundation in mathematics or statistics and a passion for data mining and machine learning, we want to hear from you.

This role reports to our office Alpharetta, GA office.


This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.

This is a direct-hire role and is not open to C2C or vendors.

What you will do

  • Work with key stakeholders and understand their needs, utilize combined knowledge of data structures, analytics, algorithms/models, and strong computer science fundamentals to prepare datasets, conduct analytics, develop, test & enhance tools to help the D&A teams across the globe, develop deployable solutions with guidance from more senior resources.
  • Leverage knowledge of data structures and algorithms to analyze and prepare data for analysis, assembling data from standard and new data sources.
  • Able to analyze and prepare complex and new data sources and incorporate them into analytical solutions.
  • Works on moderate complexity tasks in problems often within multiple business or analytical domains,  collaborating with other teams to develop predictive models, risk assessments, fraud detection, recommendation engines, etc.
  • Package, summarize and visualize analytical findings and results for management.
  • Evaluate the work of peer and/or junior data scientists to ensure high quality solutions.
  • Responsible for conducting A/B testing to determine the best of multiple techniques / algorithms.
  • Leverage and implement Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, keeping up with cloud advancements to propose optimization and automation improvements including agentic workflows.
  • Collaborate actively with regional and global Equifax teams to share insights, standardize workflows, and adopt best practices.


What experience you need

  • BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related analytical role, including experience with the design and development of predictive models
  • Cloud certification strongly preferred
  • Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with practical experience writing utility scripts.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Competent understanding of cloud computing concepts, with practical experience working in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or a similar cloud environment.
  • Data Modeling: Experience transforming unstructured/structured data into optimized data models, troubleshooting pipeline bottlenecks, and ensuring data readiness.
  • Solid experience with version control (Git)


​ What could set you apart

  • A Master's degree or higher is strongly preferred in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics or other related disciplines.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and experience with Data Engineering
  • Domain & Concept Knowledge: Exposure to credit/financial data products or prior project/academic experience with Entity Resolution and identity matching concepts.
  • Big Data & Cloud Tooling: Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, BigTable, Dataflow, or big data processing frameworks like PySpark/Scala.
  • Prior knowledge on developing Machine Learning algorithms for production systems. 
  • DevOps basics and exposure to CI/CD integration workflows
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively and efficiently to all levels.
