DSC 4721

Equifax is where you can power your possible. If you want to achieve your true potential, chart new paths, develop new skills, collaborate with bright minds, and make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you.

The Client Services Consultant is a high-impact, analytical role situated at the critical intersection of data governance and client success. As the primary guardian of our regulatory integrity, you will ensure that every client project and data transaction adheres to the standards of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the specific contractual mandates of our Equifax partnership.

This multifaceted position requires a unique professional balance: the agility to drive a fast-paced project lifecycle and the precision to execute back-end auditing. You will serve as the essential bridge between client objectives and compliance necessity, applying complex logic to evolving rule sets derived from specific consent order processes.

What you’ll do

  • Compliance & Audit: Perform rigorous back-end audits to ensure alignment with FCRA standards and Equifax contractual requirements. You will be responsible for executing specialized, high-stakes processes derived from consent orders to maintain our regulatory standing.
  • Logic & Rule Application: Apply complex logic to established and evolving rule sets. You will validate data integrity and project eligibility, ensuring that sophisticated marketing workflows never compromise governance protocols.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary lead for internal audit activities across the Sales, Product, and Fulfillment departments. You will be the central point of truth for validating that every stage of the business cycle adheres to established protocols.
  • Procedural Optimization: Proactively identify, research, and reconcile procedural gaps across departments. You will provide the analytical support necessary to bridge these gaps, ensuring total alignment with corporate governance and operational excellence.
  • Strategic Liaison: Act as the bridge between client needs and compliance necessity, translating complex regulatory constraints into actionable project requirements.

What experience you need

  • University Bachelor´s degree. (required)
  • B2 or higher proficiency in English
  • 5+ years of experience in a regulated environment, specifically focused on auditing, compliance, or client services.
  • 2+ years of experience in Direct Data Marketing (DDM). You should be comfortable navigating the nuances of data-driven campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to use these tools for data organization and reporting.
  • A proven track record of applying complex logic to evolving rule sets and maintaining high attention to detail in "audit-heavy" environments.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and be on-call as required by the business, particularly during critical periods such as project deadlines, month-end, and quarterly closings.

Additional Requirements for Internal Candidates:

  • Must have a minimum of one year of tenure in their current position.
  • No active disciplinary actions within the last three months prior to and during the recruitment process.
  • Must not be on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
  • University Bachelor´s degree. (required)

What could set you apart

  • A fundamental understanding of (or the ability to rapidly master) FCRA standards and the intricacies of contract auditing.
  • Previous experience interfacing with or performing external audits.
  • Deep familiarity with credit reporting, data marketing, or financial compliance.
  • A strong commitment to high standards and a "delight the client" mindset.
