Equifax is seeking a Technical Architect to significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions focused on our customers’ business needs. You are a problem solver who is highly motivated by designing solutions that amaze customers. As a Technical Architect at Equifax, you will design and plan technology solutions, alongside providing leadership and support to development teams. You excel at driving business value through technology and addressing technical issues and concerns.
What You Will Do

Lead the design and rollout of complex, multi-region cloud applications, ensuring alignment with Equifax global standards.

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for software development and infrastructure teams, resolving critical design bottlenecks.

Assist project teams in sizing architectural efforts and perform rigorous reviews of design documents to ensure "Production Readiness."

Communicate technical roadmaps and validate architectural decisions with both Technology and Business Executive leadership.

Define and enforce standards/methodologies (DR, Scalability, Security) across the SDLC.
What Experience You Need
-
Minimum 10+ years in Software Engineering with at least 3+ years specifically focused on Public Cloud Architecture (GCP or AWS).

Expert-level proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) & Angular, with a strong grasp of Asynchronous Programming.

Deep experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) using Kafka or Pub-Sub.

Proven experience with Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), CI/CD pipelines, and "Infrastructure as Code" (Terraform).

BS/BE in Computer Science, or equivalent technical field.
What Could Set You Apart

Professional Level Certification in GCP (Cloud Architect) or AWS (Solutions Architect).

2+ years of experience working with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and building agentic workflows (Tool-use/Function-calling).

Experience with event-driven architectures reacting to GitHub webhooks.

Contributions to open-source AI projects or developer tooling.

Experience integrating security early in the design phase (Identity & Access Management, Encryption at Rest/Transit).

Previous experience in FinTech, Credit Bureaus, or Data Analytics companies.

The ability to explain complex "Cloud Native" patterns to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
