Debt Collection Supplier Manager

You’ll take ownership of debt collection supplier performance, leveraging deep data insights to hit key targets and ensure our partners are delivering the best possible results for Equifax and our clients.
 

What you’ll do

  • Own collections performance leadership with Debt Collection partners.

  • Manage collections performance of client portfolios using data and insights generated by EFX analysts.

  • Provision of commentaries to performance MI to explain collections performance from Debt Collection suppliers and assess against objectives set.

  • Influence the performance outcome of Debt Collection suppliers through insight into the drivers of performance, challenging the suppliers to ‘raise the bar’.

  • Obtaining analysis, feedback and insight from DCAs to support variance to explanations (above and below expectations) and provide information to the Recoveries Management team and Clients directly.

  • Work with EFX analysts and operations to ensure you have  a holistic view of DCA performance

  • Ensure that governance protocols are followed, meetings and actions are documented and managed.

  • Maintain a visible presence on site / virtually with nominated suppliers.  Activities could include:

  • Call listening and floor walking for new and existing clients’ portfolios.

  • Attend client training days/workshops with agency representatives; share findings, own actions and drive to conclusion.

  • Identify and log any potential risks and issues – whereby the supplier or their sub-contractors could present a potential risk to Equifax or Clients.

  • Identify ways to improve the cost effectiveness of the services delivered via our suppliers – supporting the development of alternative commercial arrangements.

  • Provide input to plans and strategies for the team, department, client initiatives & actions Debt Collection suppliers.

  • Innovative design and tracking of incentives to drive Debt Collection suppliers towards Client and Equifax requirements.

  • Ensuring that Equifax supplied training materials/packs are up-to-date; clearly understood and in use by the Debt Collection suppliers during their customer interactions.  

What experience you need 

  • Experience working in a collections and or recoveries environment

  • Strong internal stakeholder and external supplier management skills 

  • Proven ability to operate independently and take initiative

  • Using reports, MI and data to identify performance gaps

  • Effective influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills,

  • Analytical mindset
