Tell us about your career journey at Equifax.

I’ve been with Equifax for more than two decades, beginning as a Software Engineer and now leading the EWS Technology team—an organization of over 1200 talented individuals.

My journey wasn't accidental; it was driven by a commitment to a Kaizen Culture—the idea that our goal is not to be flawless, but to be better tomorrow than we are today. This meant continuously working to improve our expertise and embracing a Growth Mindset. Along the way, I was fortunate to have leaders who championed my development, pushing me to lead by creating space for my contributions:

  • One leader created an environment where I was compelled to explain my rationale and stick with my solution, teaching me early on that ideas can come from anywhere, and fresh perspectives can be incredibly impactful.
  • Another, seeing my potential, took a leap of faith to place me in this CTO role. They challenged me to step into bigger shoes, showing me that great leaders look beyond current skill sets to identify what people can become.

These experiences inform how I lead today: I focus on enabling the success of the person next to me, ensuring our teams feel empowered and have pride and ownership in what they do. Equifax has continually provided the canvas for this growth and shared ownership.

What keeps you energized after twenty years?

What truly wakes me up is the profound sense of purpose in our work. We're not just moving data; we are working on technology that impacts people’s financial lives—helping them secure loans, get government benefits, get jobs, and manage critical life events.

My energy is rooted in the belief in Collective Strength. I firmly believe that none of us is as smart as all of us. The dynamic environment and the opportunity to consistently unleash the collective intelligence in our people is what keeps the work exciting. We are continuously improving our speed, performance, and stability to deliver higher value to our customers. That commitment to being a Net Positive for our users, our company, and the wider community is my daily fuel.

How would you describe the future of technology at Equifax?

We are in a unique position where we are actively shaping the future.

Equifax has and continues to invest heavily in technology as we transform our business to the cloud. These investments allow our teams to grow their technical skills by working with bleeding-edge technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence. It’s a culture of building—we’re not just maintaining systems; we are innovating and strategically transforming our business. We’re embedding AI into our security protocols and standing up practices/resources to ensure we are Best in Class. We are intentionally laying the groundwork for greater innovation and stability across EWS Technology.

Any final thoughts?

My ultimate goal is to build an environment where everyone can contribute their best. If you thrive on big challenges that stretch your thinking, if you want to be part of a team where your ideas can come from anywhere, and if you believe in the power of collective innovation, you will find a home here.

I invite you to join us and be part of this rewarding journey of continuous growth and collective impact.
