The Data and Visualization team is looking for a Data Engineer with a strong analytical focus. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys technology and has a genuine interest in both data development and dashboard reporting/development. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between data engineering and business intelligence, ensuring that information is transformed into actionable strategic decisions.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement robust data models and architectures, ensuring data quality, scalability, and performance.
- Manage project progress, metadata collection, development, and management with moderate supervision.
- Create compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, adhering to data visualization best practices and design principles.
- Lead key efforts in data interpretation, trend identification, and analysis of large datasets to drive business decisions and growth.
- Design and implement robust data models and architectures, ensuring data quality, scalability, and performance. This may involve working with data warehouses, data lakes (Cloud) , and various data sources.
- Create compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, adhering to data visualization best practices and design principles.
- Continuously explore new technologies and techniques to improve BI processes and deliver innovative solutions.
What experience you need
- 2+ years of experience as a data engineer or related role.
- 2+ years advanced SQL, and cloud-based data lakes (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift).
- Strong hands-on experience with Python data manipulation libraries, specifically Pandas and NumPy.
- 1+ years of experience developing and implementing machine learning models using Python or SQL, with a solid foundation in data modeling techniques.
- 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Looker as a primary priority, Tableau, or Power BI).
- 2+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional communication, presentation, and data storytelling skills, effectively conveying insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Basic understanding and experience with Google Cloud Platforms.
- Demonstrates proficient Git usage and contributes to team repositories.
- Minimum English proficiency B2
What could set you apart
- Knowledge and experience developing or implementing Machine Learning (ML) models using Python, BigQuery ML, Vertex AI, etc.
- Cloud certification is strongly preferred.
- Business Intelligence Certifications: Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Server Certified Associate, or Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
