Packing Hope: How Equifax Australia Gave Back During the Holidays

At Equifax, we believe that our impact shouldn't stop at the office door. While our daily work focuses on data and insights, our culture is defined by people who care about the world around them. This holiday season, our Sydney team put that sentiment into action, utilising their paid volunteer leave to swap their laptops for packing tape and deliver much-needed support to their local community.

Tonny Lim, a long-time supporter of the Addison Road Community Organisation in Sydney, is one of those employees who has turned a personal passion into a team-wide movement. For the past nine years, Tonny has dedicated his time to the centre, and for the second year in a row, he championed the partnership for the "Hampers of Hope" initiative.

Under his leadership, 15 volunteers from the Sydney office rolled up their sleeves to support the centre’s ambitious holiday targets. Together, the group helped pack 2,000 food hampers, 1,000 gifts, and 400+ pet hampers, ensuring that families facing financial strain this season have a reason to smile.

We caught up with Tonny, along with volunteers Carrie Cheung and Manik Chaudhary, to hear about their experience on the ground:

Tell us about your history with Addison Road.

Tonny: I've been coming here to Addi Road for [one of] my Equifax volunteer days for the last nine years. Everyone gets a lot out of it. And this is the second year Equifax will be participating in the Hampers of Hope.

What motivated you to volunteer today?

Manik: I'm really enjoying being a volunteer at Addison Road [Community Organisation]. I volunteered as this is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community.

Tonny: It's a great initiative, and it means that I can give back to my community.

How does it feel to step away from the desk for a cause like this?

Carrie: We're all so busy at work, but taking a day out and doing this just gives me a sense of community, that I can actually be part of something.
