Personally, my greatest pride is being the first professional in the family, of the generation. That is very important and above all a source of pride for my parents.

Tell us a bit about your growth at Equifax.
I joined the company in 2012 and worked in the Customer Service area for six years handling discrepancies. In 2018, I had the opportunity to make a change and moved to Data for a new project, where I had the role of Operational Support for Exchanges until 2020.
Then, through an internal job growth project, I developed two autonomous and independent functions, each reporting to a different management, the first to the Prosecutor's Office and the second to Operations, then I moved to the Prosecutor's Office area, which is where I am currently.
How did you take advantage of these internal movements?
Knowing different people and different areas was fundamental for developing my work. I know very well how Operations, discrepancies, etc., work, and that helps me a lot to meet current demands and understand what's behind this world of data.
How do you feel Equifax supported your professional development?
After becoming a mother, I spent two years at home taking care of my son. It was my decision, but then the market "punished" me for those years. It was very difficult for me to re-enter the workforce. I was very grateful when Equifax gave me the opportunity. Once inside, I developed a hunger for knowledge. I wanted to understand why things happened, and that's when I started to study Law. My manager encouraged me to study and provided all the support I needed to achieve it. I could leave work early to go to university and used every commute to and from the office to study, including lunch breaks.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to develop professionally in the company?
If you put your mind to it, you will be able to. Everything is possible if you have the desire, if you are persevering, constantly, anything can be achieved but you have to have drive. You have to not sleep sometimes, you have to have a lot of patience, resilience too, but with the clear objective that you are going to achieve what you set out to do. In my case, my goal was to finish my degree and I focused so much on that that all the things that happened along the way - which was not easy - always led me to achieve this goal.. and I achieved it.
