The Head of Enterprise Data Strategy is responsible for working with Equifax’s global business units to develop, maintain, and drive execution of the Equifax data strategy, aligning it with enterprise business strategies and our technology architecture.
What you’ll do

The Head of Enterprise Data Strategy will report to the Global Enterprise Data Officer and lead global teams through our center of excellence structure.

Develop and maintain understanding of the data needs inherent in the business strategies of our global businesses: what data we have, what data we need, how we need to manage our data to maximize its value and reliability over time, and how we can (and cannot) use it to generate value and competitive advantage

Work with global business units to develop a cohesive enterprise data strategy from the federated strategies of our global businesses, coupled with enterprise-level objectives such as leveraging our cloud native data fabric, expanding our differentiated data assets, and accelerating incorporation of AI/ML into our products

Help business units develop long-term strategic plays for data, particularly opportunities for re-use across business units and domains

Engage in the evaluation and integration of data from enterprise M&A we pursue to strengthen our company and drive future growth

Drive ongoing planning and execution of the data strategy, including valuation of our data

Evangelize the enterprise data strategy and embed it in our culture – educating and helping all team members and stakeholders see how our data matters, how our businesses benefit from it, and how it helps consumers and businesses be their financial best
What experience you need
-
Bachelor's degree, preferably in STEM field of study; advanced degree in STEM or business (preferred)

10+ years experience using data and / or analytics to deliver business results, including experience working with cloud and big data technologies

10+ years of business experience in strategic planning, product management, consulting, and / or business strategy for data & analytics

10+ years experience leading teams across locations and units (directly and indirectly)

Experience employing different ways of working (agile, lean, design thinking, waterfall, etc.) based on the team, objective, and situation

Demonstrated success designing, implementing, and managing measures that drive performance
-
Ability to influence through a variety of verbal and written channels, tuning content and messaging to the audience

Experience in a financial data services company, or other company whose business is based on data & analytic content

Strength in quickly understanding objectives, both “what” and “why”, and connecting those across different teams and areas to create a compelling and actionable vision

Strength in translating thoughts into action, and mobilizing teams to continuously achieve small wins that collectively advance towards larger strategic goals
