This role is responsible for the design, creation and ongoing management of a risk management framework for monitoring controls and metrics to measure process effectiveness toward the end goal of driving data quality focused delivery of complex and high volume transaction management within the Data Contributor Services organization. The Data Contributor Services organization is a team of Operations Consultants responsible for the intake and quality of all data within the USIS business unit of Equifax while serving as the relationship manager and SME for data furnishers across various data domains.  As a Quality Analysts in this organization the ideal candidate should be willing to build and manage quality and accuracy processes and KPI’s, oversee quality of ingestion of billions of rows of data each month and serve as the primary point of contact for certifications and validations around data changes. This candidate should be able to analyze large datasets, demonstrate technology savvy, and be knowledgeable of the FCRA regulations and Metro 2 reporting guidelines. The ideal candidate would lead large collaboration events across internal teams (Data and Analytics, IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, Reporting, etc), and author/ maintain associated control frameworks as the subject matter expert (SME). What you’ll do

  • Provide leadership, direction and oversight related to the design and operation of operational controls monitoring, escalation and tracking

  • Identify and address process breakdowns and system defects. Produce recommendations and associated business cases for end-to-end optimization of process/technology and coordinate resolution activities

  • Drive the documentation of processes, controls, and technical requirements in order to design monitoring plans

  • Partner with D&A, product and technology to define, implement and monitor data quality metrics

  • Be the expert and point person responsible for ensuring data quality and accuracy is being monitored and maintained across consumer reporting

  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of risk and compliance indicator performance to ensure the effectiveness of controls, identify faults, and deviations from thresholds; as well as to drive root cause analysis

  • Identify inefficiencies with the objective to eliminate, automate and streamline processes

  • Be a part of special projects involving data remediation, correction, validation and updates

  • Own certification of all changes associated around data and furnisher reporting

What experience you'll need

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree (Technology and/or Data Analytics field preferred)

  • Minimum 5-7 years of related Data Quality and/or Data Analysis experience.

  • 4+ years of Project management experience

  • 4+ years of looker of Tableau application experience needed

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite/Google Suite

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment

  • Minimum 5 years experience in financial services related Operations process design and re-engineering

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a process improvement role using Lean/Six Sigma (preferred); innovative, creative, and flexible

  • Strong project management and experience managing remote teams
  • Advanced technical skills with data analysis, reporting and dashboard tools such as Looker, Tableau and Power BI 

  • Strong operational risk management with understanding of control definition and RCSA

  • Strong understanding of FCRA and CFPB requirements related to credit reporting
