SRE is also an engineering approach to building and running production systems – we engineer solutions to operational problems. As SREs are responsible for overall system operation, we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad set of problems. Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, proactive identification, and prevention of potential outages.
What you’ll do
-
You will engage in and improve the software development lifecycle – from inception and design, through development, deployment, operation and refinement.

You will influence and design infrastructure, architecture, standards and methods for large-scale systems.

You will support services prior to production via infrastructure design, software platform development, load testing, capacity planning and launch reviews.
-
You will maintain services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance and service level indicators including availability, latency, and overall system health.
-
You will automate system scalability and continually work to improve system resiliency, performance and efficiency.

You will practice sustainable incident response as part of an on-call rotation and through blameless postmortems.
What experience you need
-
3+ years of experience Manage system(s) uptime across cloud-native (AWS, GCP) and hybrid architectures.
-
3+ years of experience Build CI/CD pipelines for build, test and deployment of application and cloud architecture patterns, using platform (Jenkins) and cloud-native toolchains.

3+ years of experience Build infrastructure as code (IAC) patterns that meets security and engineering standards using one or more technologies (Terraform, scirpting with cloud CLI, and programming with cloud SDK).

Build automated tooling to deploy service request to push a change into production.

Build runbooks that are comprehensive and detailed to manage detect, remediate and restore services.

3+ years of experience with Enterprise security best practices, implementation, and remediation.

On call for high severity application incidents and improving run books to improve MTTR and Participate in a team of first responders in a 24/7, follow the sun operaintg model for incident and problem management.

You have experience managing Infrastructure as code via tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation

You’ve built software or maintained systems in a highly secure, regulated or compliant industry
