SRE is also an engineering approach to building and running production systems – we engineer solutions to operational problems. As SREs are responsible for overall system operation, we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad set of problems. Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, proactive identification, and prevention of potential outages.
What you’ll do

Build CI/CD pipelines to deploy infrastructure and application changes to multiple environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across services deployed to environments in AWS.

Monitor performance and optimization of services and review logs for anomalous behavior and security concerns.

Document, develop, and improve operational practices and procedures.
-
Collaborate with the Product team to consistently deliver value to the business.

Provide guidance and technical excellence mentoring to cross-functional team of software and QA engineers.

Assist with improvements to the continuous integration and deployment processes.

Assist specialists and cross-functional teams with product improvements.

Maintain configuration management and orchestration tools.

Manage access to Engineering assets and resources .

Research and decompose complex problems and perform root cause analysis.

Design, develop, and maintain automation systems and tools to be used by development and test engineers.

Be a self-motivated team player with an interest in continuous learning.

Work with others to build systems that help increase the quality of deliverables across the organization.

Participate in the primary on-call rotation.
What experience you need
-
4+ years’ experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent work experience
-
2+ years of experience with managing and supporting various preferable AWS and components such as VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway.

Experience with Docker and container orchestration systems such as EKS or ECS.
-
Experience with DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, Aurora, Elastic Search, Postgres.
-
Experience using configuration management tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible or Puppet (Terraform preferred).
-
Experience with network/server configuration for automated software deployment.
-
Experience with metrics, monitoring, and visualization tools such as Grafana or DataDog.

Experience working within Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).

Thorough knowledge of DNS, Datadog, Internet protocols, web servers, and load balancing technologies.

Hands-on familiarity with provisioning, management, orchestration, deployment and monitoring.
