Technical Business Analyst, with their knowledge for the product side of the business and their technical product knowledge will drive strategic conversations about the product and enhance value to Equifax and its customers.

The Technical BA will bridge the desires of the customer and the capabilities of the technology, remove barriers to software development, groom the product backlog and have insight into technical functional and non-functional requirements expressed as features, epics and stories thus creating an optimal end-user experience.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the conduit between user needs, technical capabilities, and engineering requirements, developing these into roadmaps and requirements for the Agile backlog of a development team

  • Lead the backlog refinement of features and user stories and ensure delivery teams are prepared to meet sprint deadlines

  • Work with others on a day-to-day basis to help make decisions on what is in scope and provide input into functional decisions

  • Have daily interaction with the teams building the products

  • Focus on product level impediments and process changes to enable faster and higher quality software

  • Make tough decisions on trade-offs between features, quality and dates in order to provide the best solution for our clients

  • Ensure Product leadership is aware of key issues and changes, and provide them with the right information and recommendations to resolve issues

  • Work with Product Managers to ensure the features in a release represent what is needed and that return on investment is in line with their expectations

  • Build in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the initiatives and features

  • Drive value as a function of cost, time, functionality, and quality

  • Work with Architect(s) and Tech Lead(s) to identify non-functional requirements like infrastructure needs

  • Work with Quality Assurance team member(s) to identify test cases for automated testing, including clearly articulated success criteria.

  • Coordinate with business customers to conduct product integration testing 

  • Preparation and Participation in PI Planning Program Backlog

  • Lead by example and live by the values of Equifax 

  • Deliver on any other responsibility given by your manager

What experience you need  

  • Bachelor’s in technology or Business or equivalent job experience required  

  • Experience managing product backlogs and requirements for Agile delivery teams in a Product Owner capacity

  • Over 5 years’ experience delivering products using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Deep understanding of web service technologies, user interface/interaction, customer, journeys, and knowledge of Systems Development and Project Management lifecycles

  • Experience with Product & Technology Roadmap development through influence of key business and technology partners to identify business priorities

  • Inquisitive and innovative mindset with a shown ability to recognize opportunities to create distinctive value 

  • Successfully evaluate workload to drive efficiency

  • A self-starter who is organized, detail oriented, takes initiative with minimal direction, and understands concepts quickly

  • Understand the value of product ownership and can effectively communicate the value proposition

  • Skilled at removing roadblocks

  • Consultative, creative and process driven approach

  • Aptitude for handling multiple concurrent demands and prioritizing responsibilities in a dynamic, high energy environment

  • Problem-solving skills to effectively and creatively find solutions for hard problems while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity
