Assistant Management Accountant

Reporting directly into the Finance Manager (Revenue Assurance) and supporting qualified accountants within the team, the holder of this role will work to assist with the month-end close process, financial reporting to UK and US management and help to ensure a robust and accurate balance sheet.

The Revenue Team is supporting on a global project to transform our Billing systems and therefore require a person to support and cover BAU tasks within the current team on a fixed contract basis

Working as part of a dynamic finance team to achieve very tight reporting deadlines within a SOX compliant environment. The successful candidate will be studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification. Previous experience of using the Oracle Financials system and of having worked for a US listed organisation would be advantageous.

This is an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract

What You'll Do

  • Revenue accounting following US accounting regulations

  • Preparation of month-end reports & TB analysis

  • Assist the Finance Manager with contract reviews

  • Collation of financial statements audit documentation

  • Assistance with SOX controls sign off and audit (quarterly and annually)

  • Collation of Contracts for quarterly SOX review process

  • Where required, support and assist on the global billing project.

  • Authorisation of customer invoices and management of workflow processes

  • Collaboration with EFX’s teams to understand billing issues and resolve all billing queries

  • Balance sheet rec’s associated with revenue recognition

What Experience You Need

  • Experience working in a management accounting or professional environment

  • Working for a large US corporation is an advantage

  • Education Required:  up to Part Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

What could set you apart

  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting

  • Knowledge of reporting requirements for UK and Ireland statutory accounts
