Senior Account Executive, Home Security, Travel and Telecommunication


The Senior Account Executive will oversee and direct the execution of all Equifax efforts for select Telecommunication, Home Security, and Travel companies in the USA.  The Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for revenue growth for an existing book of business to achieve revenue targets.  This role will be responsible for developing and executing an Enterprise Account Plan to achieve both financial and strategic goals related to the assigned accounts.  

The Senior Account Executive is accountable for the client relationship, as well as the health and growth of the associated revenues.  Strong, positive and active relationships with senior level personnel are keys to success.  The Senior Account Executive drives value by providing leadership and guidance to the Equifax cross-functional team, maintaining positive working relationships with key client leaders.  Furthermore, this role provides critical voice of customer data back to Equifax.  Sales pipeline Management and associated activities. 

What you’ll do

  • Lead Equifax sales efforts and work seamlessly across Equifax in order to manage, engage and coordinate all functional areas as required.  

  • Establish, maintain key customer relationships.

  • Assess the client’s needs and leverage appropriate Equifax expertise/solutions for profitable sales.

  • Manage sales pipeline, pricing and customer contracts.

  • Customer Support tasks.

  • Meet with customer executives in the Finance, Credit/Risk, fraud, Marketing and Account Management Operations departments to develop and support business initiatives.

  • As a necessary part of the role the Strategic Account Executive will work with the Equifax STO, DTO, pricing and deal team to be proficient in the definition and demonstration of tangible ROI and close new business sales.

  • Expand Equifax relationships into non-traditional areas within the Telecom, Security and Travel industries; particularly around identity/fraud, marketing, advertising, business intelligence and customer management.

  • Lead and work in collaboration with multiple internal sales to meet and exceed revenue objectives and all other related internally focused aspects of sales management (pipeline management, forecasts, etc.).

  • Work in collaboration with fulfillment colleagues to coordinate and facilitate the implementation of solutions.

  • Demonstrated mastery in the areas of communications, presentation skills, sales and consulting.

  • Ability to negotiate and create consensus where appropriate with internal groups and external clients and/or strategic partners.

  • Proven ability to lead an extended account team dedicated in the pursuit of an opportunity.

  • Ability to learn, monitor and act upon industry trends.

  • Manage negotiations, pricing and customer contracts working with Equifax legal, pricing and deal team.

  • Travel: up to 50%

What experience you need

  • 5-7 years of proven enterprise sales experience with data and enterprise software solutions including marketing and customer data management applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

What could set you apart

  • 10+ years in the B2B marketplace in complex business environments with an emphasis on account strategy.

  • Experience in Telecommunication, Home Security, and/or Travel Industries. 

  • Understanding of business strategy development, marketing strategy, marketing planning, and the infrastructure and tools necessary to support these activities. 

  • Working knowledge of analytics related to payment risk, fraud, and marketing.

  • Proven sales/solution selling experience, including the ability to diagnose the impact of trends, client data and MBOs and translate that into rapid sales.

  • Understanding of technical and analytic areas.

  • Excellent planning, organization, multi-tasking, prioritization and meeting facilitation skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; familiarity/comfort in public speaking.

  • Experience working with senior-level customer account employees, including ability to immediately establish credibility with executives and build/maintain those relationships.
