As the Indirect Tax manager you will report to and work primarily with the AVP—Indirect Tax and be responsible for managing the state and local tax policies and procedures related to the products and services provided by Equifax Inc. and its subsidiaries throughout the United States. This is a unique opportunity to engage in the management of tax automation platforms and the integration of newly acquired entities into overall tax processes for the entire Equifax organization.
What You’ll Do:

Reconciliation of general ledger detail to billing detail and Vertex tax reports.

Research and analysis of state and local tax laws to determine the taxability of products and services sold and utilized by Equifax Inc. & Subsidiaries.

Review and resolution of state tax notices—including preparation of letters of understanding and memorandums detailing actions taken by the company.

Review of sales and use tax returns payment requests.

Preparation of business registration documents.

Administrative tasks related to maintenance of state and local tax files.

Training of company personnel on taxability of products and services.

Maintenance of state tax calendar and preparation of annual reports
What Experience You Need:
-
Minimum 2 years of advanced use and knowledge of Vertex tax application software and Oracle Software Platform
-
4-8 years state tax audit mitigation experience related to sales, use and property tax
-
A combination of 3+ years experience in and a high proficiency in data manipulation and analytics using Excel, Google Sheets, etc. as well as intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Undergrad degree in Accounting or similar
