As a part of the Equifax USIS communications team, the Communications Manager, will focus primarily on external communication efforts, such as media relations, business unit reputation activities and actively contribute to industry thought leadership.
The role will handle coordination with our public agencies and industry marketers to develop strategic communication plans and content development for trade publications and the Equifax newsroom. Additionally, the role will handle inbound journalist inquiries and maintain strong relationships with the media.
What you’ll do:

Build and maintain relationships with media on behalf of U.S. Information Solutions (USIS), a business unit at Equifax
-
Manage day-to-day relationship and liaise with Equifax public relations agencies and communications stakeholders

Drive communications effectiveness and consistency in messaging and processes

Work collaboratively across USIS marketing and global communication teams
What Experience You Need:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or in a related field of study

5-7 years of external communications experience
-
Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team based environment within a heavily matrixed organization
-
Proven ability to communicate deeply technical content and to make that content accessible to non-technical audiences.

Outstanding media relations capabilities.

2+ years of strong writing skills, knowledge of AP Style, and a deadline driven approach to content creation.

Experience with and strong knowledge of G-Suite is a plus.

Experience at a technology company, financial-services firm, or a PR agency focused on financial services and/or B2B technology clients.
