Sales Specialist - Financial Viability and Ratings

The role:

The Financial Viability and Ratings Sales Specialist role is a business development position for a consultative specialist in the field of financial assessments, credit ratings and commercial risk. The role responsible for pipeline management, developing strategic plans, realizing revenue growth, providing thought leadership, engaging with industry and liaising with the sales, product and marketing team as necessary.

What you’ll do:

  • First point of contact for Financial Viability and Ratings services

  • Play a key role in building relationships with customers

  • Explore the characteristics of sales opportunities and define the needs of the customer in respect to agreed value focused opportunities

  • Support and drive sales and marketing campaign initiatives related to new customer acquisition, customer cross sell and customer channel migration activities and hunting new sales opportunities.

  • Develop strategic plans, including forward-looking product roadmaps, to develop and grow the FVR business, in collaboration with the FVR senior leadership team 

  • Run roadshows and present at industry group seminars and forums where required.

  • Write professional tender responses suitable for government or private sector request for tenders, while collaborating with Products, Operations, Marketing, Legal and Compliance to ensure fit-for-purpose and competitive responses are delivered.

  • Work with Product to define customization and enhancements for the delivery of solutions to customers

  • Keep abreast of industry legislation and environment changes.

What experience you need:

  • Demonstrated excellence and experience in B2B sales to Corporate or Government clients.

  • Expertise preferably in selling either data, analytics, insights or technology solutions.

  • Proven consultative sales experience, with a track record of being able to move through a sales cycle to sales closure. Needs to be able to sell complex solutions and being able to influence buying-centers, such as procurement.

  • Demonstrated experience in selling solutions to c-level clients.

  • Demonstrated capability in writing tender responses and defending the contents and recommendations to external stakeholders
