As a part of the Revenue Accounting Team, the Sr. Revenue Accountant will be responsible for revenue recognition for various companies and products within the company. The role will work closely with finance teams to ensure that revenue is appropriately recorded and accurately forecasted to provide leadership with the financial information necessary to make decisions within the business. 

The Sr. Revenue Accountant is a key member of the Corporate Accounting team and will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting and will enjoy a hybrid workplace model where they will be able to work both remotely, as well as in our newly renovated office in Midtown Atlanta, GA.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform month-end/quarter-end accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely application of revenue recognition and accounting guidance 

  • Prepare journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations to the G/L and analyze revenue trends

  • Evaluate revenue share partner arrangements and make sure they are calculated properly to ensure accurate payments

  • Partner with finance team members to update forecasts based on revenue recognition conclusions

  • Ownership of revenue recognition for companies and products that you are assigned

  • Develop relationships and coordinate with various teams and departments, including revenue accounting, finance, billing, IT systems and internal/external auditors

  • Drive accuracy and completeness of monthly financial results

What experience you need:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field; Masters in Accounting/Business or CPA preferred

  • 3 or more years of experience in general accounting or audit, public accounting experience is a plus

  • 1+ years of experience in Revenue Recognition ASC 606 and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle JE/ARM reconciliation applications is a plus

  • Experience with Tableau, Hyperion HFM/Essbase, Oracle or similar ERP  

  • Analytical ability to think problems through to resolution and create process efficiencies

  • Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet goals and objectives 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
