Equifax is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Commercial sales team. This role is responsible for developing distribution strategies and exploring new opportunities for sustainable new business, driving market share, revenue and profits through direct and indirect channels. As a full life-cycle sales position, this individual will manage the demonstration of services, proposals, contracting and deal closing. This position requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
What you’ll do

Prospect and identify new growth opportunities to expand Equifax’s Commercial Emerging Markets across various industry verticals including FinTech, Banking, Lending, Payments, BNPL or other spaces within Financial Services

Deliver new incremental revenue from new Commercial solutions

Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies to drive sales opportunities into new markets, territories, verticals or regions, or within new divisions of existing client base

Demonstrate industry expertise to fully understand client needs and demonstrate senior level consultancy skills to bring value-added solutions to the table to resolve those needs

Primary focus is selling to new clients and includes full sales cycle participation including demo of services, proposals, contracting and deal closing

Drive coordinated efforts required of highly complex, multi-faceted solutions based selling

Grow new business development pipeline to deliver on growth targets by developing a deep understanding of the customer’s business objectives and translating that understanding into a unique value proposition that Equifax can deliver

Create deals and deal structures that deliver significant revenue performance based on clear understanding of the Equifax value proposition

Collaborate with vertical and sales leadership to understand the business’ growth strategy and execute on a new business development plan to achieve those enterprise objectives

Be an advocate for the partner while maintaining a holistic view of the relationship on a day-to-day operational and strategic level

Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Data & Analytics, Finance, & Technology to maximize opportunity funnel

Present recommendations and sponsor changes to our products and service offering to ensure partnership remains ahead of the competition

Maintain a deep understanding of contractual relationships and track/enforce obligations

Contribute to refinement of new business development strategy and its execution
What experience you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5 years experience in an account executive, business development or similar quota-bearing, customer-facing sales roles at an enterprise level

Prior Financial Services Industry Experience and/or working through highly-matrixed environments

Demonstrated ability to sell a variety of complex/custom products across data, analytics, and technology for multiple business units in a consultative manner

Equifax is required by law to include a good-faith salary range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. At Equifax, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $106,000 to $159,000. This position is also eligible for our incentive compensation program.
