The Software Contract Analyst/Negotiator will lead global cross functional teams (BU, Legal, Security, ITAM and Architecture) through the corporate processes to acquire and maintain software. This role will provide software contracting and license compliance expertise, lead audit response due diligence, and negotiate dispute resolution for publisher audits and renewals. As a strategist, you will lead negotiations based on your analysis of market data while engaging internal stakeholders to select and implement new tools and advance contracting and licensing compliance policies and procedures across the enterprise.  This role is a hybrid work model where you'll be able to work remotely as well as in any of our Atlanta offices in Alpharetta, Atlantic Station, or Midtown!

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and negotiate complex license agreements, compliance settlements, commercial use terms, and license use rights

  • Lead cross-functional teams to clarify software use cases; provide licensing, compliance and asset tracking expertise; Coordinate with BU and/or COE to clarify software use cases and value proposition

  • Formulate contract requirements to incorporate Corporate Policies and minimize license compliance risks

  • Support integration and negotiation of software and hardware agreements acquired through Mergers & Acquisitions.

  • Manage and negotiate Enterprise License true-up & reconciliation

  • Ensure renewals comply with existing contractual agreements and license standards; negotiate as required

  • Verify software license entitlements; recommend strategies for license optimization and risk mitigation; Interpret contract use rights and reconcile license compliance 

  • Initiate purchase requisitions for license & maintenance renewals, maintain licenses & proof entitlement records

  • Support audit response due diligence and negotiate dispute resolution for publisher audits and renewals

  • Quantify and report license compliance risks uncovered through Publisher audits & BU/COE engagements

  • Verify automated counters, manage transitions and corrective actions with ITAM tools and with Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Tax, Procurement and Legal

  • Organize Legal documents for Software Acquisition Team review and redline and maintain repository

  • Ensure accurate Proof of Entitlement documentation (ensure accurate PoE)

  • Direct Requestors through NEQ, Software Acquisition, Legal and iPROC Requisition processes

  • Drive savings from maintenance and license optimization and deliver reporting on cost savings and avoidance benefits

  • Perform Data Mining / Exporting.

  • Collaborate on the implementation of future state processes and workflow automation

What experience you need:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Business

  • 5+ years of experience as a subject matter expert in Software Asset Management, licensing, and compliance while influencing senior technical staff and management including:

    • Advanced License Entitlement / Deployment reconciliation 

    • Leading cross-functional and multi-national teams

    • Expert contract negotiation 

    • Developing and documenting business processes

    • Expert-level Excel/Sheets skills (VLOOKUP, COUNTIF), VBA/Macro is a plus

What could set you apart:

  • Experience with creating presentations with various data visualization tools is a plus, but not required

  • Large company software contract negotiation experience from a matrixed organization is a plus

  • Salesforce experience is highly desired
