Quality Automation Engineering Architect - Specialist

We are looking for a talented Quality Automation Engineering Architect

What you’ll do

  • Support Quality Engineering leadership in achieving his/her strategic goals.

  • Be accountable for production defect  leakage and drive towards shoring up gaps in negative scenario testing, test data, and testing automation/regression.. 

  • Be responsible for the overall testing strategy, both  mobile and desktop  for the platforms that you will be supporting. 

  • Regularly deliver presentations to the Equifax QE,  Development teams, Architecture, SREs, etc. to evangelize Quality Engineering’s technical  direction and provide recommendations to improve product quality processes across teams. . 

  • Assess project needs and guide the team on estimating, testability of user stories, acceptance criteria, non-functional requirements, and the definition of done

  • Monitor the effectiveness of the testing function and bring about improvements through insights gained via analysis at all stages of the SDLC/STLC

  • Architect trusted test automation patterns for the team to leverage  with high reliability and relevance. Make sure that all tests run stable. 

  • Drive Equifax to full CI/CD build automation/deployments with the proper blue green release quality gating for performance and functional testing. 

  • Implement POCs to drive platforms forward in innovation

  • Take responsibility for test infrastructure and defect trends seen  in all environments (QA, UAT, Production). Liaise with other team members inside and outside of QA and drive towards defect resolution. 

  • Define and administer standard testing architecture methodologies, processes, and tools across all engagements

  • Mentor newer SDETs from a technical perspective to help them grow in their own careers

  • Leverage Behavior Driven Development and automation for all end-to-end testing

  • Perform code and quality process reviews for QE resources.

What experience you need

  • 7+ years of Java programming skills

  • 2+ years of Cloud Experience

  • 7+ years of software QA testing experience automating tests for both Web UI and backend APIs

  • 4+ years Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, Gherkin Karate or RestAssured framework, Jenkins and SonarCube

  • 1+ years experience with Jira

What could set you apart

  • Experience working in an Agile environment with agile methodologies leveraging Jira

  • Experience with SQL and Test Data creation and understand data structures

  • You have experience with performance engineering and profiling (e.g. Java JVM, Databases) and tools such as Load Runner, JMeter

  • You have some exposure to Application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk
