Business Development Sales Manager, Commercial Solutions

The Business Development Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of business development executives through market expansion and penetration in existing markets through new business and new logos, entry into new markets or market segments, and new capability pursuits in existing domains.

What you’ll do

  • ​​​Client-facing, high-touch sales leadership role responsible for team management, new revenue generation, customer relationship and EFX engagement across new logos, new markets and market segments or new capabilities within existing domains

  • Lead team that prospects potential customers; direct and guide orchestration of other EFX resources efficiently to further drive sales and revenue growth of a full Equifax solutions portfolio

  • Direct and engage team members as they develop new business sales opportunities of standard through complex solutions in a highly consultative manner with buyers, decision makers, influencers and customer executives.  May engage directly with customers in partnership with the BDE to ensure successful outcomes

  • Team manages a broad pipeline of prospects, handles and often leads customer business reviews, RFI/RFP response, contracting and negotiation and business development strategy and account planning activities; Ensure successful execution of these engagements and act as an escalation point where needed

  • Hire top talent to build out the team

  • Focus on sharpening the skills of existing talent and raising our talent skill set

  • Identify and secure New Customers/Partner Sales

  • Land and grow new Customer/Partner Revenue across the EFX solution portfolio

  • Develop contact network within new Customers/Partners and facilitates connection to relevant EFX counterparts

  • Lay early foundation for long-term Customer/Partner Relationships

  • Work with teams to aggressively build an active pipe and improve cadence of deal advancement

  • Partner with the broader Equifax team to find synergies and mutual partnerships

  • Define and execute sales strategies that drive profitable growth while delivering meaningful Customer value

  • Network to build relationships with economic buyers, decision makers, and influencers in target Customers

  • Travel: up to 50%

What experience you need

  • 8-10 years of client facing business development experience with proven success in market expansion with existing and emerging markets

  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership managing and coaching a team of Business Development Executives to significant growth through identification of new logos within specified industries

  • Ability to build to teams and hire top talent

  • Strong communicator

  • Proficient in negotiation skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Well-networked within relevant industries or vertical segments including financial services, fintechs, insurance, or telecommunications

  • Masters or advanced degree 

  • Tech or software, platform skills
