What you’ll do:

An excellent opportunity to drive innovation and automation across the enterprise. This will include tool and process integration across all business units within Equifax globally. As a Cloud Solution Architect you will be responsible to design, implement and provide technical support and consulting for the Cloud digital transformation process in progress, as well as infrastructure projects on legacy Data centers across the company. You will interact with clients, product managers and developers to envision, model solutions for the customers to adopt cloud platforms with a strong experience in Cloud Infrastructure. You will engage on Business Unit projects to elicit requirements, specifications and project scope and produce conceptual designs and cost estimates adhering to architecture standards.

Cloud Solution Architects will be responsible for creating detailed designs and build instructions for projects. Supporting Project Managers in a consultative capacity during project implementations and providing Level 3 diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting will also be one of the responsibilities. Cloud Solution Architects would also be enforcing the corporate strategy to migrate as much as possible, applications and services to Public Cloud. Research and test midrange products and tools to maintain currency and enhance functionality and automation are few key responsibilities of Cloud Solution Architects.

What are we looking for?

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive server Operating System product knowledge to include:

    • Linux OS (SUSE SLES v11, CentOS 6.x or higher, RedHat Linux v6.x or higher)

    • MS Windows Server 2012 or higher

    • Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition releases and Java Application Servers

  • Extensive knowledge of Virtualization technologies to include:

    • Microsoft Hyper-V  & Microsoft Systems Center, Red Hat KVM & VMware

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure & Middleware platforms to the extent needed to provide solutions/designs, including:

    • Network  architecture (Proxy, Load Balance, VLANs, Switching, Firewalls, Routing)

    • Security Infrastructure design concepts  (IDS, IPS, Firewalls, DDoS, WAF)

    • Relational Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)  and Big Data Solutions

    • Storage infrastructure solutions ( SAN & NAS technologies), Backup Systems

    • Data encryption Solutions, in transit and at rest.

  • Knowledge of Public Cloud 

    • 3+ years of experience designing and deploying solutions in Public Cloud.

    • Technical knowledge in duties associated with cloud computing, including design, planning, management, maintenance and support.

    • Knowledge on different Cloud service models such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, as well as Private Cloud, Public Cloud and Hybrid Cloud deploy models

    • Experience deploying Public Cloud based solutions over AWS, Azure, Google as well as Private Cloud solutions, in order to be able to map on premise services against equivalent Public Cloud Services

    • Security Infrastructure design and support (IDS, IPS, Firewalls, etc.) in Public Cloud

    • Background building or designing Web services in the Cloud

  • Professional Skills

    • 5+ years of experience working as an infrastructure architect or solution engineer (or comparable role).

    • 3+ years of experience designing and deploying solutions in Public Cloud.

    • Experience researching, designing and implementing industry-standards

    • Experience of working within a Managed IT Service Environment

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline is desirable

    • Strong analytical, design, engineering, planning and problem solving skills

    • Good communicator (written and verbal); presentation delivery; business writing.

    • Proven Knowledge on solution design and service provisioning on Public Cloud

    • Knowledge on Agile Methodology

    • Appreciation of Project Management, Service Management and ITILv3.
