The Strategy & Execution Director is responsible for driving executional excellence, liaising with teams across Marketing,  USIS, other Business Units and Centers of Excellence. Reporting directly into the VP, Strategic Marketing Operations this role ensures initiatives meet desired objectives as well as identify opportunities to enable and major marketing activations to drive revenue growth leveraging data insights.

The ideal candidate for this role is a collaborative self-starter with impeccable project management skills to help shepherd creation, optimization and efficiency of multiple marketing initiatives within our team. This role lives at the critical junction of marketing operations and program management. 

Experience working in a cross-functional capacity as well as a proven track record of delivering operational excellence in the creative space are a must. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Marketing leadership team, USIS and other BU stakeholders, and COE stakeholders to serve as lead for high visibility campaigns, initiatives and projects

  • Reinforce brand and strategic positioning, delivering a cohesive, consistent experience through projects grounded in business insights, industry best practices, creative power and digital execution

  • Collaborate, influence, and coordinate across a broad internal stakeholder group on internal marketing events and initiatives,  to align on strategy, develop key work streams and drive execution against those plans to deliver revenue growth.  

  • Engage with the teams across the organization to anticipate and address risks and issues, drive accountability, manage expectations with key stakeholders, execute, and report progress towards the goals and objectives of each initiative.

  • Develop structure, cadence, agendas, content and leading various forums related to initiatives (eg operational reviews with core team, regular updates or steering committee meetings with stakeholders)

  • Lead the development of various reporting packages related to the initiative including financial reporting, pipeline reporting, and program health reporting

  • Shared responsibility to create, develop, and maintain campaign ops processes, best practices, and training documentation, partnering with outside vendors for production 

 

What experience you'll need:

  • Minimum 7 -10 years of relevant experience

  • A minimum of 5 years experience leading large programs across applicable corporate functions (e.g., Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Strategy, Finance, Technology, Data and Analytics)

  • A minimum of 5 years experience developing and implementing strategy for complex growth initiatives or business transformations or marketing digital campaigns which involve cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment

  • A minimum of 5 years experience project, program management, and process improvement experience 

  • A demonstrated history of using, maintaining, and analyzing data to measure performance and make recommendations

  • Ability to learn new platforms and processes quickly

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational skills

  • Strong collaborative and cross-functional interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience

  • Previous experience in the data, analytics and/or technology industry

  • Masters or advanced degree

  • Strong organizational, prioritization and governance skills

  • Accomplished, confident communicator and collaborator across the spectrum of engagements - from presenting strategies to senior leadership to working day-to-day with tactical stakeholders; strong writing, editing, and marketing communications ability

  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Confidence in conflict resolution and keeping projects moving forward with deliberate speed

  • Knowledge of creative development (overall digital and creative language); creative agency experience a plus

  • Experience in matrixed corporate or agency environment; ability to work without direct daily supervision

  • Demonstrated team leadership skills with the ability to mobilize resources and build cooperative working relationships combined with the ability to take ownership and drive results

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
