Senior Business Development Manager


We have a new opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to work within our ambitious and growth-orientated public sector Sales team. Do you have a passion for consultative solution sales? Come and join the team!

Your main objective as a Senior Business Development Manager within the TDX Public Sector team is to maximise commercial opportunities and ensure the retention of clients while driving additional sales growth through new business initiatives. You will have a full suite of TDX and Equifax data, analytics and software services at your disposal to help drive value for each of our customers.

What you’ll do

  • Nurture and drive effective relationships with key contacts and decision makers within our existing strategic accounts and new prospects in order to maximise business opportunities

  • You will lead new sales opportunities and execute sales process from presentation through to contract negotiations and close, including:
  • shaping strategic solutions
  •  relating it to the customer’s business
  • creating compelling proposals
  • understanding the competitor’s strengths and weaknesses and differentiating proposals
  • providing technical solution development
  • building strong business cases
  • Understand client requirements and subsequently develop and implement appropriate services and account sales plans to win significant revenues and drive user adoption of our solutions

  • Lead multi‐functional teams and work with Consultants to formulate and develop significant sales opportunities and deliver strategic client solutions

  • Develop, implement and own financial plans and forecasts by client division and product group. 

What experience you need  

  • Strong sales track record and experience of leading complex high value customer relationships ideally with public sector clients

What could set you apart

  • Demonstrable prior success in a business development role, with the ability to build new relationships with a potential revenue of £1m+

  • Co-ordinate multiple lines of business and to create end to end solutions for customers

  • Proven resilience and performance in driving revenue and negotiating deals with long sales cycles

  • Experience handling complex pricing negotiations and presenting to senior-level decision makers

  • Knowledge of Consumer, Commercial and Government data

  • Previous experience of selling into the Public Sector

  • Previous experience selling collections, fraud and decisioning solutions
