Information Analyst - Junior

The Fulfillment Data Analyst (CDC) reviews, investigates, and reports risk relevant data maintained in the Compliance Data Center database enabling our customers to make timely, sound decisions mitigating their financial, regulatory, and reputational risk.  This position is accountable for reviewing false positives, decisioning, and alert creation of high quality fulfillment deliverables, assuring on time completion and providing superior customer service while working in a collaborative team environment.  He/she will recommend and implement improvements for departmental processes and maintain Equifax Global Fulfillment’s commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

What you will do:

  • Gathers and analyzes legal, regulatory, political, economic, legislative, financial, and business news, and makes suggestions for removal of non relevant articles and feeds .

  • Refines information relevance criteria and proposes policy and procedure changes for the accuracy and currency of the CDC Negative  database. 

  • Provides current lists of codes and makes suggestions for new categories in keeping with news events and business regulation.

  • Interprets and understands the compliance requirements of financial institutions, and the value clients derive in knowing the individuals, businesses, and other entities they do business with.  Provides tutelage to teammates regarding the compliance landscape.

  • Diagnoses each news article or data feed, discerning the appropriate degree of pertinent information to be captured for identified subject categories (fraud, terrorism, etc.) 

  • Provides status and measurement on work queues and keying statistics, as needed in support of management objectives.

  • Provides ongoing communications deliverables such as Policy and Procedure manual updates, problem analysis scenarios, newsfeed value analysis, procedural descriptions, and work flow diagrams. 

  • Receives, understands and conducts analysis of inquiries received from customers to determine the existence of risk relevant data. 

  • Completes diagnoses of each news article or data feed, discerning the appropriate degree of pertinent information to be captured for identified subject categories (fraud, terrorism, etc.) 

What experience you need: 

  • Understand customer criteria and the types of information that are important to the customer.

  • Outstanding attention to detail is required!

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment in order to meet customer service level agreements.

  • Demonstrate an ability to prioritize tasks appropriately.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities.

  • Basic skill level of Google Office products

  • Foreign language a plus, regarding geographical location, name spellings, etc.

  • Proactively seeks new assignments to enhance skill set and knowledge base.
