Director, Compliance (Process Support)

The Director, Compliance, will provide subject matter expertise on compliance control implementation and operationalization. The position will be part of a team responsible for supporting teams across Equifax in managing regulated processes, and will manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables, as well as support other compliance initiatives. 

The Director, Compliance, will be a versatile team player, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic in addressing new challenges across the organization.

What You'll Do:   

  • Provide guidance and support to teams across Equifax regarding compliance requirement implementation and operationalization, including reviewing company processes, policies, controls, operational requirements, and procedures to identify process improvements as they relate to compliance. 

  • Act as a point of contact for teams across Equifax regarding the implementation and operationalization of compliance controls.  

  • Support initiatives to collect and review documentation evidencing adherence to compliance requirements. 

  • Partner with teams across Equifax to drive remediation of known compliance issues. 

  • Support the monitoring and testing of compliance controls for effectiveness. 

  • Maintain knowledge of business operations and emerging business practices, and relevant regulations. 

  • Manage metrics related to role and, where applicable, content for other leadership reports.

What Experience You'll Need:  

  • Three (3) years minimum of regulatory, compliance, or analogous experience, preferably in the financial services industry.

  • Bachelor's degree.

What Could Set You Apart:

  • Operations experience - operations experience with regulated processes a plus. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical partners, with focus on informing, influencing, and relationship building.

  • In-depth understanding of the financial services industry, including the regulatory landscape and consumer financial protection laws.

  • Experience interpreting financial services regulations.

  • Strong project management and coordination skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and run multiple projects.

  • Demonstrated partnering skills, with experience coordinating initiatives with partners in a multinational organization.
