Data Management Specialist

Equifax Workforce Solutions (EWS) is rapidly growing, and has an exciting career opportunity in Data and Analytics (D&A) organization for a Data Management Specialist. At EWS, data is our product so this role is a key contributor to our success and lays the foundation for a meaningful career at Equifax. Main areas of focus include establishing and propagating data and business expertise and documentation, enabling team analytical best practices, and contributing to data quality initiatives.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, understanding and documenting the data asset lifecycle; understanding data quality and making recommendations to improve and enhance it; participating in the creation and maintenance of data asset policies, controls, rules, and processes; and providing communication and training to the D&A team and business to promote approved usage and best practices related to EWS data assets.  This role will work in cross-functional teams, regularly collect and prioritize stakeholder feedback, and play a significant role in scaling the D&A team analytical best practices.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate across teams, including Technology, Operations, and Product to understand and document business rules and metadata associated with the ingestion, purposing, maintenance and usage of EWS Data Assets 

  • Develop and maintain documentation and training material on key data assets, including an understanding of associated business processes and customer value creation

  • Regularly seek feedback from D&A Analysts and Engineers to guide data quality and data interpretation activities, in order to facilitate increased team efficiency and delivery of high-quality, impactful analyses

  • Implement data asset access policies and controls

  • Promote informed, compliant use of data assets through transparent policies, process and communications

  • Contribute to the creation of automated, value-driven data quality program, including measurement, opportunity quantification, tracking, and dashboarding

What experience you need 

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, technical, or quantitative discipline

  • 5+ years of experience in an information management, data and analytics, or technology role

  • Experience with Master Data Management

  • Understanding of relational databases and proficiency with SQL and Excel

  • Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, be flexible and receptive to change, operate with limited guidance, and identify and focus on the activities that drive the most value

What could set you apart

  • Experience with cloud reporting and delivery environments; GCP a plus

  • Experience with Google Suite, including Sheets and Slides
