What you’ll do:

The  Financial Analyst will undertake financial analysis and review financial and commercial reports / prepare and analyse financial reviews. This involves providing proactive insightful financial analysis to enable the business unit to reach its short and long term strategic financial objectives. Other key deliverables:

  • Procurement of annual reports, financial and operational information 

  • Undertaking Fit2Work checks on behalf of client for respective assessments 

  • Accurate and timely cleansing / normalisation of company information to ensure consistency and uniformity 

  • Analysing financial statements, ratios, macro and industry risk factors to identify credit risk 

  • Application of critical thinking to identify issues, strengths and challenges relating to credit risk 

  • Professional communication skills to undertake client meetings and written reports 

  • Provide an escalation and support point for client’s queries throughout the assessment process 

  • Complying with all applicable policies, principals  and organisational requirements 

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role

  • Proven ability to analyse financial statements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage various stakeholder engagements

  • Advanced financial numeracy & literacy

  • Ability to apply advanced critical thinking to data and business processes 

  • Inquisitive mindset, with an ability to think beyond the ratios and apply knowledge in holistic way 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to manage their own time 

  • Ability and willingness to take ownership of deliverables and SLA’s 

  • Seeks continuous improvement of self and business process

Extra points for any of the following:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting, business, finance or relevant field

  • CA/CPA/CFA highly regarded
