The Portfolio Marketing Director guides the business towards a cohesive go-to-market architecture and practice. The Portfolio Marketer will be focused on working within and across business units and product/service groups to integrate multiple offering components into a portfolio of solutions that creates unique value for buyers. This role is a key player in the Solutions Marketing team’s evolution from selling products to solutions; as such, it requires significant internal and external thought leadership and the ability to drive initiatives across industry and product marketing functions/roles.
What you’ll do
Product Go-To-Market Strategies: Devise product go-to-market strategies for how products/solutions will be expressed to the marketplace including but not limited to:
Define the market opportunity for a product; perform segmentation and targeting exercises that identify the segments with the highest propensity to buy.
Conduct market and customer research to gather data and insight about target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing decision process for the product, including key buyer roles.
Portfolio Marketing Plans: Contribute to the Data-driven Marketing portfolio marketing plan, to ensure product GTM plans support the major themes that will be communicated into target markets, buyers, the industry landscape and key issues.
Develop product positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonate with the buying audience and produce the source messaging blueprint
What experience you need
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a B2B marketing role in a complex business environment, including extensive experience with go to market strategy development
Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, management or similar field required
Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
What could set you apart
An understanding of Marketing Planning, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, traditional and new marketing tactics, and channel marketing
Ability to conduct market, competitor and customer research to gather insights and assess market opportunities
Ability to develop strategies for creating pipeline for new offerings as well as upsell, cross-sell and account-based marketing programs to grow existing relationships
Ability to analyze information collected from win/loss interviews and pipeline behavior (conversion rates and velocity) to detect breakdowns in the marketing and sales process
Ability to link product launches to organizational campaign themes and goals
Experience in the technology and/or data industries or working with technology and/or data-related products and services preferred
