The Quality Auditor is a highly skilled member of the department with working knowledge of auditing claims operational principles/practices. The incumbent utilizes auditing/investigative skills to examine, evaluate and determine appropriateness of information and/or processes. This position will contribute to the overall department responsibility of gathering essential data on and assessing the quality of the enterprise’s overall operations in human and system processes to create/improve efficiencies and generate effective processes/procedures/methods.  This position initially will be focused on implementing and supporting audits for the Edgewise UC platform and will eventually expand to also be able to support audits for Pinnacle.  

What You’ll Do 

  • Partner with current auditor and leadership to establish and implement audits

  • Perform quality reviews of data through desk audits/reviews of all applicable employees

  • Establish, perform and track audit projects within production and time constraints

  • Log data and results of audits, always looking for process improvement opportunities

  • Monitor processes and collect data on both an individual and a global level

What experience you need

  • Prior claims and appellate experience is essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field

  • Prior audit experience

  • Comfortable with doing similar work for the majority of each day (primary daily task will be desk auditing)

  • Ability to audit in a professional, ethical, and objective manner using and interpreting applicable standards and requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral) while participating as an audit team member, including the ability to explain the why behind the what, shift from negative to positive, and the ability to appreciate efforts and outcomes in the work being reviewed

  • High attention to detail
