Information Security Officer - Iberia

Equifax is looking for a Business Information Security Officer who will be in charge of aligning information security with business objectives. In this way, it is guaranteed at all times that the company’s information is adequately protected. 

What you’ll do

  • Oversee the maintenance of key security programs in Iberia including: 

  • Security assessments of new products or business initiatives 

  •  Oversight and delivery of supply chain, customer and internal security audits 

  •  Security awareness and training 

  •  Reviews of customer compliance with security requirements 

  •  Contract reviews 

  •  Customer security checks, on-boarding and audits 

  •  Physical security 

  •  Incident response, and supporting any HR or external follow-up to incidents 

  •  Security technology deployments 

  •  Utilising global team expertise and resource to investigate potential fraud 

  • Support the local business to deliver key initiatives that could otherwise be affected by security or information risk issues 

  • Meet with key clients in support of security compliance and sales activities 

  • Demonstrate and increase business value related to security programmes 

  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders (e.g. IT) to ensure full visibility of cyber security risks and their potential impact 

  • Communicate security risks in business terms that can be clearly understood at all levels of the organisation 

What experience you need 

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Computer Science or a technology-related field)

  • Knowledge and experience of the key security areas described in the job description 

  • International security experience and experience of working across different cultural environments

  • Strong experience and knowledge of relevant information security standards and regulations 

  • 10 years of experience of managing and leading key security initiatives/programmes 

  • Experience of working with, and reporting security issues to, board-level stakeholder

  • English communication skills are a must
