Synopsis of the role

The VP, Head of Product & Innovation will collaborate with the executive leadership team, as well as additional key stakeholders across the business, to drive alignment on the future product strategy. Initially, this leader will be laser focused on delivering an agile organization with the necessary skills to lead in the future state environment of Equifax Canada (inclusive of a multi-data asset platform). The  VP, Head of Product & Innovation will create an infrastructure and operating model for the product organization and will drive accountability throughout.

The  VP, Head of Product & Innovation is accountable for understanding the competitive landscape, industry trends, voice of customer and sales and innovation/unmet opportunities in the market and developing (BU or Region) product strategy to meet business revenue needs. This role will be responsible for translating business strategies into product plans, driving the definition and execution for aspects of those plans from inception to launch, and optimizing the products to deliver against key financial and strategic goals and client benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver a strong agile Product organization by ensuring appropriate resourcing and process are in place with a strong focus on the associated P&L

  • Develop a product strategy that drives meaningful innovation and revenue growth while bolstering Equifax’s position as the product leader in client solutions

  • Play a significant role in defining the long-term product strategy and contributing to the annual Strategy Playbook process

  • Manage, with equal focus, the product strategy and product execution in coordination with Global Product Platforms, Global Product teams, Data & Analytics, and Corporate Technology, Sales, Marketing, and other teams within a complex, matrixed environment

  • In partnership with Sales and Marketing, create go-to-market strategies for each new product and continually ensure priorities align with Sales activities

What Experience You Need

  • Be an expert in information services/data solutions; deep knowledge of information services business models, data analytics and a demonstrated history of monetizing and productizing data.

  • Ability to drive the transformation needed within the product organization, i.e. significant change management experience specifically around creating new operating models and restructuring teams.

  • Have demonstrated success in leading a Product Management function in its full lifecycle from ideation to lifecycle management within an agile, Cloud-based environment
