Senior HR Business Partner

As Senior HR Business Partner you will join the core European Human Resources team which comprises of 4 Senior HR Business Partners reporting to the European HR Director and supported by our HR Operations, Reward, Talent Acquisition and Development colleagues locally and globally. You will provide Business Partner support to defined business and functional areas in the delivery of their objectives, ensuring that all people related and change interventions are aligned to business plans and people strategy. You will work with your defined business areas to develop and implement appropriate people plans to meet the strategic and operational needs of the business.  You will also take specific accountability and leadership for one of the People Pillars and other key projects for the wider business, which can range from Talent & Succession, Belonging and Purpose, Engagement, Leader and Manager development and Wellbeing 

You will work in our fabulous Leeds Hub at Wellington Place, we’ve adopted a flexible approach to where work is done and you will collaborate with colleagues and key stakeholders virtually as required.

This role will suit someone who is a "team" player, is passionate about Engagement and Welbeing and can work with ambiguity.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Create and maintain key partnerships with clients and managers, to ensure that HR plan is aligned with those of the business

  • Drive implementation of key HR programs such as succession planning, performance management and compensation programs; Wellbeing, Diversity and Engagement

  • Coach managers to drive greater productivity and high engagement;

  • Act as change agent on multiple programs and business initiatives;  

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues

  • Provide guidance on organisation design, workforce planning, learning and development and succession planning;

  • Deliver key/ special projects as required to ensure people related issues are at the heart of business change;

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement HR plans to support the delivery of key programmes and critical challenges in line with ‘International Growth Playbook’ , Strategic Initiative Programs and overall HR Strategy

  • Develop strong credible  working relationships with key stakeholders and their direct reports to understand their business issues and work proactively with them to provide appropriate people solutions as an integral part of their senior leadership  and change agenda.

  • Work collaboratively across the business to facilitate the successful implementation of HR related activities and interventions, such as the annual talent review cycle and the design and delivery of change programmes & initiatives.

  • Work  with the relevant senior key stakeholders to deliver effective Performance Management interventions, development strategies and succession plans, including coaching where necessary.

  • Work with colleagues across the wider team to ensure that HR initiatives are prioritised to support both employee and company success, whilst maintaining consistency with Corporate strategy. Coach and support wider HR team to develop capability to manage employee relations issues/ meetings where HR support is required.

  • Promote HR and ensure that it is integral to all organisational wide interventions, creating an environment that promotes fair and equal treatment of all employees.

  • Consult and manage HR processes for merger and acquisitions including due diligence and integration.

  • Utilise management information / HR metrics to add value and drive HR performance.

What experience you need 

  • Strong senior generalist HR experience covering multiple business areas within fast paced organisations experiencing significant change.

  • Extensive Experience partnering with management teams in the areas such as talent management, employee relations, organisation design, change management and senior leader coaching.

  • Strong understanding of Human Resources functional and technical areas including, but not limited to: employment law, compensation, performance management, learning and development and talent management.

 

What could set you apart

  • Worked in a senior standalone HR role or role that has a strong people orientation.

  • Experience of operating in a technology focused organisation and/or organisations undertaking significant change 

  • Experience of implementing employee engagement, wellbeing and I&D initiatives

  • Experience in a business with a matrix operating model
