Equifax is looking for an Enterprise Data Governance Specialist to  implement data disciplines and compliance for enterprise Data Fabric and Data Analytics environments

What You’ll Do: 

  • Governance of large enterprise data assets

  • Ongoing assessment and updates of policies, standards and objectives

  • Interact with business security, legal, audit, privacy and IT teams for the compliance of Data & Analytics environment

  • Participate in the evaluation of tools and technology

  • Responsible for the creation of standard operating procedures for data governance activities

  • Work with data stewards and business units to define data domains and help defining standardized approach for the categories and naming conventions

  • Work with data scientists, data analysts and data stewards, understand their requirements and determine their environment and data access needs.

  • Work with the privacy and legal teams on data usage approval processes

  • Provide subject matter expertise in all aspects of data protection compliance and business process controls and ongoing monitoring 

  • Collaborate with data stewards on the implementation of least privilege principle

 

 

What experience you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in the information technology or related field

  • 3+ yrs experience in a  Data Protection and Privacy organization on the creation of governance Policy framework

  • 3+ yrs of experience in  regulatory and compliance centric environments.(FCRA, GLB, etc)

  • 1+ yrs of experience in  big data principles and governance to evaluate risks and facilitate the program benefits.

  • 1+ yrs of experience  using  SQL queries

  • Knowledge of regulations that impact Equifax – Ability to successfully navigate and influence a matrix organization, legal, security, privacy, audit, etc. 

  • Experience working with  data scientists, data analysts and data stewards.
