Job Summary 

Equifax is looking for an Enterprise Data Steward who  will define, standardize and prove Data Fabric patterns by mastering usage of Data Fabric services. This person will lead and manage cross-functional programs, independently develop, recommend and implement improvements to existing data, metadata and governance processes.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Provide hands-on support to Data Fabric teams for the Data Fabric Transformation for onboarding of data assets.

  • Support the process to streamline onboarding of data assets to Data Fabric.   

  • Collaborate with data stewardship teams globally to standardize workflows and processes and data supply chain management. 

  • Identify and develop best practices for Data Fabric data preparation, ingestion and journaling patterns, with emphasis on non-purposed enterprise data. 

  • Develop requirements for Data Fabric Product and Technology especially in the area of Data Prep, Ingestion, Data Catalog and Collibra Metadata integration.

  • Help with the implementation and rollout of enterprise metadata repository and promotion of relevant practices and disciplines

  • Collaborate with technology, analytics and product stakeholders to define and promote new enterprise data architecture and data management practices.

  • Prove out new Data Fabric services by developing applications to demonstrate capabilities.

  • Onboard and provide data stewardship for purchased data sets to Data Fabric through journaling.

  • Collaborate and partner with data stewardship, data analytics, technology and operations to translate business requirements to Data Fabric services.    

  • Communicate and gain support for DF usage in BU and globally to all levels of the organization

What experience you’ll need

  • BS/ MS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or  related experience

  • 3+ yrs of experience with data architecture, data governance, data management and/or data stewardship disciplines.

  • 2+ yrs of experience developing standards, collecting and organizing metadata for very significant organizational initiatives.

  • 1+ yrs of experience in regulatory and data compliant environments

 

What could set you apart 

  • Experience in software architecture,  design or application  development 

  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, GCP, Azure or AWS. 

  • Track record of successful implementations and working with multiple teams

  • Experience with data governance and data management tools like Collibra
