The Sales Enablement Instructional Designer partners with Sales Leaders and Partners across the USIS business unit, diagnoses performance issues and learning needs, identifies appropriate training-based solutions, and designs and develops learning frameworks and curricula to facilitate achievement of the business unit’s goals. 

He/she will have the opportunity to advance and refine a newly developing Equifax University program, which is designed to provide ongoing developmental training opportunities for various roles across Equifax USIS, including sales, leadership, marketing, product, etc. The Sales Enablement Consultant will be responsible for implementing the strategic vision that ensures innovative, high-quality training opportunities are delivered with precision.

This position will report to the Sales Enablement Leader over Sales Effectiveness, as part of USIS Sales Operations & Enablement.

About the Team

The Sales Ops & Enablement team is a dynamic team of A-players who work together to break down barriers and drive the modernization of the sales culture across Equifax and within the USIS Business Unit. We exist to increase predictable sales results by providing consistent, scalable enablement services that allow customer-facing professionals and their managers to add value in every customer interaction. Our team directly impacts selling time, win rates, deal sizes, sales technology, process and methodologies, etc.. And - we have a lot of fun winning as a team!


 

What You'll Do

  • Consult and collaborate with subject matter professionals on course design and development

  • Lead large-scale projects and influence leadership and stakeholders

  • Develop new learning experiences including instructor-led courses, interactive eLearning, and practical application exercises using modern tools and techniques and adult learning best practices

  • Analyze and improve existing L&D frameworks, and develop a training skills matrix

  • Evaluate the business unit’s overall learning requirements, business objectives, desired results, and constraints; conduct a skills assessment to identify specific training needs

  • Identify and implement improvements in training curriculum and courseware using industry-standard testing methods, needs analyses, and methods of redesigning training programs

  • Investigate available training methods and procedures to determine the most effective manner by which to meet specific learning needs

  • Measure and track learning completions, feedback, and ROI to drive future training prioritizations

  • Produce periodic L&D reports outlining learning needs accompanied by recommendations and implications, such as changes in operations, budget, or quality

  • Design and execute readiness and communication plans for launching programs across multiple divisions and verticals

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of learning development and instructional design experience in a corporate training environment, preferably in Technology, Financial Services or Sales organizations

  • Bachelor’s degree + in related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to ask the needed big-picture questions that lead to process and team improvements; experience with consultation and the assessment of learning needs, proposing, designing, developing, delivering and measuring success of learning solutions

  • Strong eye for modern design aesthetic and an ability to follow a style guide to maintain brand

  • Proficiency with eLearning, video editing, and graphic design software - Articulate 360 including Storyline required. Premiere Pro, Camtasia, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly and to convert technical or complex information and concepts into easily understandable content

  • Previous experience and or knowledge of B2B selling principles and the ability to understand the challenges that the sales team encounters is a plus

  • Ability to perform research and ask smart questions to learn new content and concepts quickly, as you may be developing training on advanced concepts or products previously unfamiliar

  • Ability to develop a holistic view of performance problems, identify root causes, and suggest training-based solutions

  • Strong organizational, communications, relationship and project management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines, manage heavy workloads and prioritize tasks; ability to work with cross functional teams and leaders at all levels

  • Analytical, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills

  • Collaboration skills including the ability to integrate and act upon the diverse perspectives of business unit managers, instructional designers, corporate HR and external vendors

  • Consulting skills including client-facing skills aimed at determining the client’s need, perceived roadblocks, business unit culture, and work environment issues

  • Knowledge of training and organizational development theories and practices, instructional design models, and e-learning standards (e.g. SCORM, LMS, ADDIE)

  • Project management skills and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and/or projects

  • Risk mitigation skills to help eliminate potential roadblocks in the design and delivery of training programs

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the impact of training on overall corporate performance

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills​
