Job Summary 

Equifax is seeking a Sr.Director, Quality and Performance Engineering  who will be responsible for ensuring that, the quality  level  for  new  system  development  and  systems  under  change,  conforms  to  formal requirements. This person   will  also  own  the  ‘System  Delivery  Quality  Strategy’  and  align,  develop, implement and govern the strategy through the full software delivery lifecycle.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Own  the ‘System  Delivery  Quality  Strategy’  and  align,  develop, implement and govern the strategy through the full software delivery lifecycle.  

  • Lead managers and multiple QA teams covering duties including recruitment, resourcing management, mentoring, oversight and development

  • Oversee development, management and communication of defect metrics, trends or root cause that will contribute to improvements minimizing or eliminating re-occurrence. 

  • Foster progressive improvement of established software development methodologies in conjunction with quality assurance best practice. 

  • Identify and procure suites of tools essential for the full testing life cycle; make commitments with development and QA managers regarding testing automation levels. 

  • Allocate associates according to skill set and experience to support testing of projects and post-production support work; cross train staff to gain technical and business knowledge. 

  • Hire, develop and manage a department of diverse, cross-functional quality assurance professionals conducting automated and manual tests.

  

What You'll Need: 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, from an accredited university

  • ​8+ years of experience working as a trusted partner with cross-functional leaders, including development and/or DevOps, performance engineering, UX, product management, documentation, etc.  

  • 7+ yrs of experience with Agile development methodologies

  • 5+ yrs of hands-on technical leadership experience in quality engineering practices, test automation, CI/CD, SDLC.

  • 5+ yrs in a software engineering leadership position managing junior and senior level quality engineers as well as people leaders
