Data & Analytics (D&A) is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our growing team during an exciting cloud transformation.  You will have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Workforce Solutions’ data assets, products, and business model to help improve our data operations and help capitalize on the benefits of our recent  migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).  Primary responsibilities will include gathering requirements, data analysis with SQL, Tableau dashboarding, creation of KPIs, and deriving actionable insights.  The responsibilities of this role lay the groundwork for an impactful career on the D&A team as a data subject matter expert and key advisor to the business regarding strategic, revenue-driving initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Create impactful data visualizations and analyses enabling our internal business leaders to make data-driven decisions.

  • Wrangling data from disparate systems and driving automation of standard data processes and analytical reports/dashboards

  • Digging into data to understand and explain the root cause of trends or outliers

  • Collaborating with your peers, leaders, and subject matter experts to derive actionable insights

What experience you need 

  • Ability to collaborate with peers and cross functional teams, while also working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • 5+ years of work experience in identifying, gathering, transforming and analyzing data within and across database platforms using SQL

  • 3+ years of work experience with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau, and knowledge of data visualization concepts; Creativity to look for new and innovation ways to transform raw data sets into compelling and meaningful visual illustrations through exploratory data analysis

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to rapidly learn new data assets and understand business context of data

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or a comparable discipline

What could set you apart

  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud platform (AWS, Azure)

  • Familiarity with Python, Airflow, and data engineering practices

  • Understanding of Agile methodology
