What you’ll do:

The Senior Analytics Lead is responsible for leading teams of Data Analytics professionals in the day to day management of Equifax Australia and New Zealand’s core data assets,ensuring that Equifax Australia and New Zealand’s data assets are maintained at the highest level and are developed to best enable our product offerings to the market

This role will support Equifax lines of business in regards to data related matters in a timely manner and to a high standard.
The individual  will provide direction  for  data  analytics  and  work  with  other  parts  of  the  business  to  identify  data quality issues, improvements and enhancements. They will liaise with Product and IT teams to initiate and drive Data Quality improvement programmes and also with Legal  and  Compliance  and  Data  Governance  teams  to  ensure  usage  of  data  is compliant with relevant laws and legislations. They are responsible  for  the  production  and  distribution  of  reports  on  performance  of  data  (quality, quantity, matching, etc), customer’s data supply and product performance on a regular basis. They will lead or support the execution of proof of concept (POC) and solutions and engage Equifax clients directly to present and discuss results of analysis or Data Quality or linking offerings and provide on-going client communication of issues and resolutions. They act as a data SME (Subject Matter Expert) to drive business decision making.

Please note this is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum  of  5  years  of  experience  in  analysing  and  reporting  statistical information

  • Minimum  of  3  years  of  experience  in  team  leadership  and  people management

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering value from data

  • Strong numeracy skills and SQL ability

  • Strong knowledge of data related concepts 

  • Understanding  of  technology  and  its  application  to  meet  customer, business and operational needs

  • Ability   to   organise   tasks   and   manage   time   to   consistently   meet deadlines

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of analysts to meet key deadlines

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently on complex and demanding projects

  • A willingness to learn new applications and systems

  • Provide leadership in knowledge sharing and process improvements
