The Equifax Tax Services – “Tax Director” will lead a team of 40 Equifax Tax Consultants in performing and delivering tax products to our diverse client base. Those products include services that are typically an extension of Equifax’s Unemployment Compensation Division and include validation of client annual state tax rates, tax rate projections, annual client tax services reviews, joint account analysis & recommendations, voluntary contributions impact analysis & various other projects and services. Services are provided via a professional services methodology and environment with its’ own P&L. The position involves extensive client interaction and involves supporting our clients when there are taxing jurisdiction disputes of multiple types. Interaction with state taxing Jurisdiction personnel at the highest levels and the development of solid foundational client relationships (both internal and external) will also be a key components of the role.

What you’ll do:

  • Revenue Stream growth, P&L management and Client Interaction/Ownership.

  • Work with VP of Tax to drive operational/delivery strategic initiatives and articulate Value Conveyance to both internal and external clients

  • Lead/Manage a team of 40 Tax Consultants (including managers, quality control personnel and team leads) in providing timely and accurate tax products to our clients.

  • Interface with Senior Sales Leadership and align growth initiatives with operational support.

  • Review and interpret contracts to obtain details of project scope and client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Multiple years of external client interaction delivering tax products strongly preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations - FUTA, FICA, SUI, SIT, LIT

  • Experience managing a team of professionals delivering client projects and products.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance - Preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred – required to interact with many of our taxing jurisdictions.

  • Established Tax Authority contacts viewed as a plus.

  • Master’s Degree viewed as a solid plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
