Job Summary:
 

The Sr. Finance Analyst is responsible for leading finance support for a corporate technology alliance and / or security function, working closely with business leaders and their leadership teams.  This role assists the leaders in the decision making process, providing insightful and action oriented financial analysis, applying best practices, and new perspectives to solve complex problems.  This role influences the actions and initiatives within the alliances they support to enable the function to achieve strategic and financial targets. This role supports implementation and execution of driver-based forecasting. This role will help define and lead cost efficiency initiatives in partnership with business leaders. This role interacts with the technology leadership teams to deliver financial information in a concise and meaningful manner, understanding customers’ perspectives and needs.  This role applies in-depth knowledge and experience for technology finance, maintains industry knowledge, and is able to influence technology teams towards a financial strategy. This role reports to the Senior Director or SFO – Technology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive value-added planning, bottoms up budgeting and driver based forecasting activities, working with various countries and areas of the business, and ultimately responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the budget and forecast of the technology alliance, including delivery of report summaries and presentations

  • Analyze Technology spending (operating expense and capital) trends, and prepare action-oriented reports and synopsis of the business results for reporting to the business and management

  • Lead monthly financial forecasts discussions, including expenses, headcount, capital risk/opportunities and other metrics and provide direction, coaching, and prioritization to others on the Tech Finance team

  • Understand technology, and technology strategy in order to develop business cases along with the business case sponsor and various business areas

  • Assist in the implementation of new standardized reporting model (COGS, COS, Development, G&A, etc.)

  • Work collaboratively with other FP&A team members in preparing monthly forecasts and the annual budget, identifying opportunities to enhance financial outlooks, and other financial analysis and projects

  • Develops work plans for projects or initiatives of moderate to high complexity


 

Qualifications:

  • University Bachelor degree in Finance or a related discipline and 4 – 7 years of experience in a finance related capacity

  • Technology finance experience including preparation and presentation of complex business cases

  • Experience in Cloud based IT environments

  • Experience with visualization tools i.e. Tableau & Spotfire

  • Proficient in Hyperion Planning and Essbase

Extra Points for any of the Following:

  • MBA or Master’s level degree

  • Possess a financial designation (CPA preferred)

  • Experience using, Oracle Projects and/or OBI (Business Intelligence Objects)
