Join our team in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane as a Privacy Compliance Officer. You'll be reporting into the Head of Privacy and be part of a high-performing Risk and Compliance team working across Australia and New Zealand who are committed to fostering a best in class risk and compliance culture at Equifax.

You will work closely with Legal, Operations and various product teams across the Equifax product lines to provide timely, efficient, practical and high calibre compliance services to support the business achieve its strategic objectives.

What you’ll do
-
Design, develop, implement and manage the Privacy Compliance Framework, Consumer Data Right (CDR) compliance activities and responsible use of AI at the enterprise and business unit levels.

Design, develop, implement and manage the Privacy Compliance Oversight Program, including risk assessments, monitoring activities, reporting and remediation plans to minimize potential compliance breaches

Provide timely, efficient, practical and high caliber compliance services to Equifax’s businesses.

Support the management and implementation of the Privacy Compliance Framework, CDR compliance activities and responsible use of AI at the enterprise and business unit level in consultation with the Head of Privacy and General Counsel, enabling stakeholders to ensure that applicable compliance requirements are being considered and implemented.

Complete oversight activities such as risk assessments, monitoring activities (such as Credit Provide Audits), reporting, and remediation plans, designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and to minimize potential compliance breaches.

Support the wider Risk and Compliance team with advice, oversight, risk and issues management as required.

Lead the regulatory change for CDR, Privacy and use of AI, including conducting impact assessments, and working with the business to develop and/or amend internal controls.

Monitor and stay abreast of changes in the law and industry developments relevant to areas of responsibility, and ensure the business is updated and informed, as appropriate.

Develop, review, implement, and maintain the regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
What experience you need
-
4-7 years of experience as a compliance professional in an enterprise environment.
-
Demonstrated proven track record dealing with privacy advice, issues management and oversight for financial services firms and/or multi-national organisations.

Knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements in financial services.

Ability to understand regulations, assess the impact and develop practical operational guidance and support.
-
Track record of interaction with, or supporting interaction with, regulators such as ACCC, OAIC and/ or ASIC.

The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities to juggle

The ability to interpret legal and contractual requirements and provide timely solutions-based risk advice, according to the needs of the business.
What could set you apart

Experience of executing regulatory compliance programs, including oversight, remediation and preparing periodic regulatory filings.

Experience working with industry regulators (including the OAIC, ACCC and ASIC),and industry associations (including ARCA,), as well as consumer advocacy bodies.

Knowledge of overseas jurisdictions such as GDPR and Privacy Laws of the United States.
