Synopsis of the role

Provide leadership to Operation Managers: - Define and execute short- and long-term strategies and plans in line with company’s objectives. Set in place goals to improve service and time to file. Identify opportunities for improvement for better efficiency and quality. Develop inter-department relationships and communication with all areas of the business and with members Build an empowered, self-directed, high performance management team: - Align needs and priorities and plans with corporate direction. Establish procedures and controls for efficient performance and ensure methods are reviewed and updated on a continuous basis. Identify staffing requirements. Manage by objectives and changing priorities.  Manage overall corporate standards and establish productivity and quality control standards.

What you’ll do

  • The role holder is responsible for the leadership and execution of data operations for the microfinance, retail lending and commercial lending and all other data sources that ECIS will acquire in order to meet business goals and maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Accountable to incorporate new data sources into core data assets and manage data vendor relationships with respect to on boarding, data quality and contracted usage Support data quality and accuracy through alignment or establishment of international best practices and standards.
  • Execute world class data boarding, processing (including quality/cleansing, standardization, update and reciprocity) and loading of data to data store(s) with minimal rejection rates and with established service level agreements (SLA) for time to file.
  • Recommend improved, measurable and sustainable data execution solutions as well as identify further opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist business owners and process owners with identifying, scoping, and financially justifying data initiatives that align with the business strategic plan.
  • Evaluation of all data proposed projects and their deliverables regarding suggested impact, optimization of their corresponding data processing execution. Partner with Products and Technology to improve Hit Rate performance Data tracking: responsible to produce and distribute executive reports to help data management decisions (records by type, data reporting members, delayed data submissions, data load queues etc)     
  • Follows up with customer and key stakeholders during and after the delivery of services to ensure their needs have been met

What experience you need

  • Experience that can be easily identified on a resume.
  • Measurable in terms of years of experience or something achieved and concrete as in something specific that can be identified on a resume (i.e., Good communication and team player are not concrete skills).
  • 14-16 years of experience Retail lending organizations are a must
  • Demonstrable results in process improvement and programme management
  • Proven successful business intelligence/retail banking credit risk or collections operations teams
  • Worked with data preferably with credit bureau data within the lending institution Worked closely with technology
  • Successful implementation of strategies and supporting operational plans with senior leadership

What could set you apart

  • Products- Detailed knowledge of ECIS’s products and services; Understanding of lending products and data capture realities within the Indian Banking and MFI environment
  • Processes - Knowledge of credit risk/operational processes within a lending institution is a definite plus Legislation - Understanding of the CICRA (2005).
  • Not essential but needs to be learnt on the job Technology - Appreciation and working with technology is a key requirement.
  • Knowledge of database specific technology like SQL, RDBMS is a plus.
