Software Engineer - Intermediate

What you’ll do

• Perform general application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to various environments using Java, Spring Boot  

• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs

• Knowledge and experience in APIGEE is preferred

• Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines, Containerization (Docker) and Orchestration Tools (Kubernetes) in any Cloud services. Knowledge and experience in End To End process from Coding to Deployment

• Experience with version control systems, primarily GIT. Understanding branching, merging, and pull requests.

• Knowledge in any one of the Cloud Services is mandatory. Google Cloud is preferred.

• Maintains and enhances high scale applications from the backend to UI layer, focusing on operational excellence, security and scalability. Solves problems with medium complexity 

• Apply modern software development practices (serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, etc.)

• Knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes and Linux OS

• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on network, or service operations and quality.

• Work across teams to integrate our systems with existing internal systems, Data Fabric, CSA Toolset.

• Documents code/processes so that any other developer is able to dive in with minimal effort.

• Experience with Agile, Scrum or Kanban Methodologies.

• Actively participates in the estimation process, project planning, user story grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives etc

• Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred

• Experience working in a team environment, contributing to group efforts and providing effective feedbacks

• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements

• Ability to prioritize the tasks and manage time effectively 

What experience you need  

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of overall IT experience

• 4+ years experience working with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices

• 1 year experience in APIGEE is preferred.

• 2+ years experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure

• 2+ years experience with source code management systems (e.g. GIT/SVN, Github), CI/CD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code

• 2+ years experience with software build management tools like Maven or Gradle
